    33x12.50x15 on Gen2 4Runner?

as a complete tagent option... what's the metric equivalent of the 33x9.50x15 tyre? I've seen a Wildcat SXT which is a great compromise between an AT and a MT tyre of this size and there are benefits to a more narrow tire....

    33x12.50x15 on Gen2 4Runner?

LOL... you're right there! Glad to read they won't protrude, but thinking about it further, I think i'll either get some 32x11.50s or upgrade to 16" wheels and put on some 285x16... haven't made my mind up though.... I'm not after the tallest 4by, just a great tourer and always thought...

    where does the oil go????

Not on a 4-Runner but on another vehicle of mine, when it started to use oil it turned out to be the valve stem oil seals.... not being a mechanic, could it be this on your vehicle?

    33x12.50x15 on Gen2 4Runner?

I'd be mounting them on the Std wheels... from what I gather the offset is 8.... but the thing is the wheel doesn't specifically state plus or minus 8 for the offset. Does this help at all? Thanks for your help as it is appreciated. regards Harv.

    33x12.50x15 on Gen2 4Runner?

Hi All, just a quick question to ask if anyone is running the above size tyre on their Gen 2 4Runner/Surf with the fiberglass arches? If so... do the tyres protrude outside the arches? as this is something I want to avoid. Thanks PJ

    1985 HJ [?] 60 series...

I've spotted a 1985 4lt diesel 60 series that's selling cheaply. Not having any experience with these vehicles i wanted to ask other what i should look out for/ask about before buying this vehicle. I want to buy it as a potential tourer. I've seen some neat looking photos on ih8mud and like the...

    1KZ Q's

I have a 1993 70 series [KZJ70] These come standard with the 1KZT engine without electronic EFI. It is an absolute belter of an engine. My vehicle is in the body shop at the moment so I can't give you the full engine/tranny numbers but i will if you can wait until next weekend. Otherwise do a...

    Water getting inside 70 series...

where exactly are these. I did look for some as i thought there were mean't to be drain holes but couldn't find any. Running my fingers along the bottom of the panel it all appeared to be solid steel.

    Prado head update

I'm just curious.... do the 2.4 and 3.0's have the same bottom end then? And, if they do, do they share the same bottom end as the 1KZT engine that's in the later 70 series and 1st model Prado's?

    Water getting inside 70 series...

I think i've just seen a miracle.... ... it began bucketin' outside so I went and sat in the car to watch where the water was coming in from. And guess what? It wasn't leaking at all in any of the normal areas or suggestions above. The internal panel was absolutely bone dry. But what I saw...

    Overheating...

So you're saying the pressure test didn't achieve anything? also... is it likely that a head would 'just go'? Wouldn't it take some extreme lack of maintenence or neglect to stuff a head? And wouldn't a head gasket 'just go' as well? Or are there cases where just through sheer time and age...

    Water getting inside 70 series...

Hi again, yet another frustrating issue with my vehicle... this time about water getting in my car. After it having been at the panel beaters for the last 3 weeks to have a new sill and rear passenger side 1/4 panel put on i was told it was water tight... or so they thought. The issue has...

    Overheating...

i am finding this all very helpful. So thank you. I will go and look at buying a pressure testing kit today... ...just out of interest what would your thoughts be if the pressure test was actually ok? Would that mean it would definitely be something more serious like a cracked head or head...

    Overheating...

oh... if it helps.... I've seen it before that the coolant is getting lost as it's running out the overflow pipe. Would this indicate that there is too much pressure in the coolant? Also whould would too much pressure in the coolant or combustable gasses in the coolant indicate? Sorry for...

    Overheating...

thanks for your responses... i understand about testing the pressure in each cylinder but how/where does one test coolant pressure and how/where does one test for combustable gasses in the coolant?
