You guys that have replaced your carpet with a new kit.....did you re-use the square plastic "conduit" that(on mine at least) was stapled to the carpet from the factory and has the wiring and fuel door cable, etc.....?? If you didn't did you use anything else in it's place?? :meh: Getting ready...
I've been chasing a rear driveline rumble in my FJ62 for awhile. I thought it would be a bad U-joint but replacing both did not solve the problem. The truck has had a 2-3 inch lift for some time now and has an Aussie locker in the original 4.11 gear-set and TC. Any opinions on possible culprits...
The dash on my 62 is really starting to crack badly and i know new pads can be bought for big $$ but was wondering how anyone may have fared trying the thin caps that are out there for around $130 thereabouts...?? Anyone use those and have comments good or bad...??
SOLD! When I picked this up a few years ago it was represented as taken from a wrecked DD 91 FJ80 with near 175k miles. I'm not going to be using it so it's up for grabs. I can't ship so you'd have to pick it up here in Medford, Oregon. $200 obo thanks.
SOLD!
Does anyone know what the part #'s are for replacing my sagging spring packs?? What I need are the 3" heavy's to fit an '89 FJ62. Thanks. I'm needing both fronts and only the driver side in the rear. ;)
Hey guys I'm working on Bobbies 91 Honda Accord trying to track down a key-off slow draw and can't find it pulling fuses either inside or under the hood. Can there be "other" draw sources that don't go through the fuse boxes..?? The alternator is brand new and so was the battery about 6 months...
Removed from my 89 FJ62 a couple months ago. Was working fine when removed a few months ago. I'll take $80 and that will include shipping to the lower 48 States. I can send pics to a cell# if you need them.
Price edited to include shipping.
I've lost the clamps that secure the a/c hoses together and in place. One connects to the battery hold down and the other is on the side next to the air filter box and ignitor. Anybody have these in their treasure chest...?? Once I buy a pair the old ones will show up!:hillbilly:
I started having what I thought was a typical U joint rumble a year ago between 45-55 mph that would disappear if I changed my "pedal" input. Finally bought U joints a few months ago and changed them(even though the old ones didn't seem too bad). No noticeable change and then a month later...
Used FJ62 grill and headlight covers. Includes corner lenses. Center grill has 1 broken tab but the rest are there. This has scratches and is faded and dirty but it's not cracked anywhere. Great for someone's black-out project or normal resto. $100 plus shipping.
Hey guys I have to finally get a new windshield for my FJ62. Has anyone recently replaced theirs and do you have a recommendation as to where I should source my rubber seal from?? I'm having a local glass shop do the install but I want to make sure I get the best seal I can. I'm gonna also ask...
I'm trying to resurrect the a/c on my '89 FJ62 after over 15 years of all the parts having followed me around in boxes all that time. Parts I have: new compressor, new drier, original good condenser but I appear to be missing a hose that goes from the condenser to the drier..?? I have both long...
Cruiser left me stranded last night and I've been trying to chase down the problem today...outside, on my back on the ground, first on ice and now in a puddle of cold cold water. It's not the following: Starter or it's connections. Battery or it's connections. FSM's next suggestions are the NSS...
I have the original radiator in my FJ62 and it has been repaired at least once since I bought it. It has cracked along the top tank edge and is leaking badly so I ordered a Champion aluminum unit which showed in the pic and description that it was for my application and included the internal...
For my 89 fJ62 replacing the high pressure hose twice led me on a search. If you are in need of, or just have it on your wish list I'd recommend this:
Omega Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Assembly | Product Details | Pep Boys
It's an Omega product and you can't beat that price! I had some...
