Hey socalfj60 thanks for your help. I found the headlight relay and called the part store and it appears the head light and the tail light relay are the same so I switched them and the tail lights worked again. so it appears that even though I can feel it engage and disengage it is bad. Looks...
Unfortunately I can't find one that is the same so I can switch it. Nocalfj60 I do have a multimeter, but never really know how to use the dam thing. Is there a resource that you know of that describes how to use a multimeter. Thanks for your imput.
I have been searching forums for my problem, but most fall short of what it took to fix the problem. I was installing a trailer plug yesterday and everything worked fine. Got in truck to drive it to work and no tail lights, marker lights, or dash lights. Hazard lights work. Lights and brakes...
Yep same problem I had. I ended up taking a wire wheel to mine and found out it was way worse than I imagined. I had to cut out and weld new metal all along also. The corners were very tricky. Had to use a fine layer of bondo to smooth it. While I was at it, I wire wheeled the whole rig and...
I have an 82 fj60, can anyone tell me what gearing am I currently running? Also will the stock diff. gearing run 33's or 34's should I change it? Thanks in advance.
Definitely post some pics of your rims and how you painted them. Very interested in how people are doing this and how it is holding up with whatever method you use.
No I didn't think I was getting ripped off with there quote. There was absolutely no disrespect on my part on people who make a living doing these sort of installs. I remember way back when I ordered these someone in one of the threads saying that it was cheap to have someone install them...
Well I found out that it was 75 bucks a side, so I did it myself. I have found if I take things slow, I can usually do things better or just as good as anyone else. Bought the buytl for 5 bucks for 16' (takes 8' a side). and the 3M urethane sealant for 10 bucks a 10oz. tube (took 1.5). Shop...
Ok - This question is in relation to all of you who ordered windows from Steve will have to figure out. To intall yourself or have a glass shop do it for you. I ordered a set from Steve last spring and finally got them cleaned up and ready to install and have gotten a quote to install of 75...
I used a 15 dollar gun from Eastwood which is the same harbor freight sells. Sprayed very evenly. You could spend up to 100 buck for an undercoat gun from a professional store but you wouldn't get any better results. Just make sure your compressor can do between 40 to 60 psi. I bought a...
Durabak and spray it on. Quick and painless. You will spend 90% of your time doing the prep work. Buy a undercoat gun from Harbor frieght or eastwood, get a compressor and start spraying.
