I bought a minivan. I have three kids now. It’s pretty much that simple. This classic Land Cruiser is ready to drive anywhere, anytime...
I’ve been searching here and on Google for that person who posted a photo with dimensions of the cargo area with and without the third row, but I can’t find it!!! Does anyone have the cargo area dimensions? I’m thinking of a small bin behind the one third seat I leave deployed and maybe a half...
Hey, y’all. Does anyone have an old factory roof rack laying about in pieces or gathering dust? I just bought my buddy’s ‘00 100 series, there’s one piece missing from the factory roof rack: the central support piece on the driver’s side. Does anyone have one they’d be willing to part with (for...
If my Outback sells as planned this week, I'll be buying a fellow Mud'er's '00 100 later this week. I'm pumped. I used to have a 62, and I'm excited to get back in the Cruiser world!!!!!
My short question: what tools do you carry with you in your 100? And where do you keep them? I carried...
My friend just moved to Zambia to work for a safari outfit near the Congolese border, and their camp has three HJ75 of similar 1990s vintage.
They use a Haynes manual for repair work but could use a Factory Service Manual. Toyota and Helm are both no help, so I'm appealing to y'all to help me...
I snapped this picture of a 62 with an atrocious paintjob and enormous chrome rims outside my office in Austin. I was (un)lucky enough to get my phone out and snap the picture before he got too far away.
It's horrible.

The wife had me sell the Cruiser this week, so I thought I'd post up some pics and share "the cherished memory of the loved and lost." I suspect that the new owner will be showing his face around here soon.
Thanks for all of the advice.

I was just reading Dieseler's post on his gas cap and the linked thread on the gas tank recall, and it occurred to me that my tank might be screwy.
When I take my gas cap off, it releases air -- it doesn't suck it in. According to Toyota, a PO of my 62 did the gas tank recall, but the symptom...
my kiddo uses a booster seat, but he's now about to move out of the 5-point restraint and into using the booster seat with the actual seatbelt going across his body. in the old configuration, the seatbelt held down the carseat and the carseat's 5-point restraints held him in.
now that he's...
i've noticed recently that when i drive over any bouncy terrain -- even rough dirt roads -- that my steering wheel thumps. i'm using idiot-proof lingo here (so i don't confuse myself), but it's as if the steering column itself is shaking around and causing the whole steering wheel to make a thud...
does anyone have any good ideas for cupholders for the rear seat passengers on a stock-interior 62? i saw one suggestion of putting the cupholders that clip onto windows in the center console pointed backwards -- cabron's idea -- but does anyone else have suggestions? i don't have an interest in...
my '90 62 is my daily driver, and i've been on a crusade against wind noise recently. i installed mark's quietc**p on the doors, panels, and floorboard -- with terrific results! next i installed the acoustical foam that koby put in his diesel 60 -- and that worked great. then i did kevin's door...
i just installed his weatherstipping to the doors of my 62 and put some pics of it on his vendor forum: https://forum.ih8mud.com/wagongear/308623-weatherstrip-2.html

my gear shift lever has a bit of play in it, and i want to tighten it up. from what i've been told, it's an issue of tightening the gear linkage, rather than a bushing issue (those are new).
the issue is that the gear shifter has to be pull one gear past the one you want it to go into. for...
i'm thinking of replacing the stock front bumper on my '90 fj62. i don't wheel (it's my daily driver), so i don't need a winch up front. does anyone have good photos of front bumpers without a winch? thanks.

when i was getting my transmission swapped by randy at rt customs in dallas, he put in new cats, muffler, and exhaust pipe. i forgot to get a pic of the pipe, but it's rectangular, not round. it's cool looking.
the muffler is an '05-'08 tundra, if i remember correctly.
i have about $100 to spend on some new/used tools. i don't do much fabricating -- just tinkering and bolt-on/off kind of stuff. any suggestions on some must-have tools to pick up? a torque wrench? breaker bar? soldering gun? thanks for your input.

my next door neighbor gave me his homemade 6'x10' utility trailer. he hasn't used it in years and doesn't own a truck or car with a hitch.
it needs the following -- this is where i need your help:
1. tires -- i can handle this
2. lights -- it's got nothing right now
3. wiring -- i'll...
now that my car is up and running again, i need to get a yard of gravel -- about 2-3k lbs. i'm not at the limit of my towing capacity on this thing, am i? i've never trailered anything before.
I installed these lift springs about 6,000 miles ago as part of a full Hell For Stout 3" lift, but I recently swapped them out for some OME springs. They're in perfect shape, and because I've been busy doing restoration-type work to my FJ62, they haven't seen any off-road use, only around-town...
