If I were you I would just register it at the business address in MD and get Historic Tags. They have no way of knowing the address is a business or not and further more I dont think they care. I have my 80 registered in Worcester County because it is an emission exempt county. Do you live in...
I am removing my front drive shaft and was able to get through what most threads say is the toughest part, getting all the nuts and bolts undone. I removed the 4 nuts, bolts and washers on the flange on the diff side, then removed all bolts on the flange yolk of the tcase side. The diff side...
Anyone see the red fj40 for sale out Route 97? Its at intersection of 97 and 144 in the park and ride lot, just south of route 70. It looked pretty nice but I didn't get a chance to stop and check it out. Post details if you have em. thanks.
I know wal-mart had an issue with this for a little while. They now make you sign a release if the tires are not the same size as the factory specs. But if you can find a wal-mart that has someone who knows what they are doing, the $3 a wheel and tire mount and balance isnt bad.
Historic Tags are the way to go. No inspection and the vehicle must be 20 years or older. You can go to the MVA with proof of insurance and the title and get tags right there. According to the MVA, the vehicle cannot be used as a daily driver, but I have never heard of any issues with this. To...
i have a 62 emblem you can have, i have no use for it and don't intend to. PM me, you have to pick up though since my fj80 gets horrible MPG. :D
Its the top one on the tail gate that reads "Toyota Land Cruiser" and thats not my truck I just googled to get an image. I pulled it at crazy rays...
Around 2:20 pm, 5/9/09, turning right on Randolph road from New Hampshire ave. Hard top with full roof rack. Tags looked like Texas, I could be wrong.
Did search, when it comes to electrical issues, there are thousands of variations and nothing was specific to my problem.
Anyhow, for anyone else that may run into this same problem, I replaced both batterry terminals with factory toyota ones and the truck started right up.
My 80 isnt startingl. Nothing was left on over night. The battery seems full because power will come in and out. When power does come in, if i got to turn it over it loses all power. right now i put the key in and turn it, i get no power at all. battery is 5 months old. any suggestions?
it was me. '91 FJ80. I turned off left on New Hampshire right past Bonifant.
That's a good looking 40 you've got. I know, I'm slacking, I need to join.
The tire is now on the rear.
 Right back at ya.
Are you local?
How would this situation be different than a open/e-locker equipped 80? Im venturing to guess that the rear will act very much the same BUT if i do the PT, can't I then throw another aussie in the front. Since i will have hubs the truck will act as follows:
cdl off = 2wd = rear locked w/aussie...
