Oh, sorry. Duh. Brain cramp. I didn’t actually process “transfer case” even though that’s exactly what you said. I just thought about shifter. I’ll check that, but I always left the transfer case in 2h. Honestly thinking I have more of a lack of use issue.
Thanks - can’t get it into gear, running or not. Doesn’t seem to want to roll in what should be neutral, but I haven’t forced it. Wondering if there is more than one thing locking it in place, or if I should try to pull it with a strap for a couple feet. Makes me nervous tho.
Thank you — I can move the shifter all over, just not into any gear. Not while running, not with the engine off.
The clutch pedal has full movement and actually feels normal, if that means anything.
I have a vague memory of someone having an issue with the shifter engagement mechanism...
Thanks — Won’t go into gear motor running or off. I tried to roll it, without using much force, and it didn’t want to roll. I didn’t want to force anything so I didn’t do more than put my shoulder into it pretty hard. Bad idea to tow strap it and creep it forward, I’m guessing?
Who knows...
Thanks — clutch pedal seemed to have decent feel. I’ll look into your suggestion.
Besides that, could it possibly have anything to do with transmission selection mechanism lubrication or gear lubrication?
Hi All,
Been a long story since I’ve been on here. Not the happiest story. Anyway, the 43 I‘ve had since about 2008 needs some love and ultimately, a new home. Until then…
Have started it fairly regularly, but not driven for a while. Now the 4 speed won’t go into any gear. Any suggestions or...
Hey I'm in! There's just this little logistical issue of about 1000 miles.
We'll figure it out. Hopefully it won't be too long but the debt stands.
You developing your own pig capabilities makes it more interesting.

Half-jokingly -- see if you can find a guy who is thinking about putting a SBC he has laying around into his old Jeep and swap with him. :D
Then he can deal with the perpetually leaky rear main seal, atrocious MPG and less-than-great power for a big, heavy V8, but he can keep his rig "all...
I saw a lot of carnage over the time I repaired power tools. Everyone has their opinion about the quality of a certain brand and they think a tool brand is a tool brand is a tool brand. This brand is better than that, etc. There is a difference in quality between some brands but every tool is...
of that list, only the compressor could be an issue, the others don't draw 15 amps even at start up.
I wouldn't run 100' of 12 gauge cord to a compressor, they pull serious juice every time they start a cycle. it's just not worth what can happen to the tool and popping a breaker several times...
A good-quality 100' 12 gauge extension cord is a good choice if you really only want to have one cord. The plusses outweigh the minuses.
Rarely would anyone need a cord bigger than 12 gauge, and only with very large amp-draw tools would there be a worry about the voltage drop and increased...
Sorry, no help here for a portable AC unit, but a couple strategically-placed reusable ice packs from the 12 volt camping fridge are helpful, I find. On the lower back when first getting in to bed cools down the whole body after 15-20 minutes, leaving a t-shirt on or covering the pack with...
That su-huh-hucks. You can really see where the moisture was getting through the shower wall and into the insulation. There wasn't any barrier between the shower pan and the sub-flooring?
Good job for turning lemons into lemonade; the move to the bigger shower is a great idea.
Did you just...
Beer is certainly an acceptable substitute for below average Brunswick Stew as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the details on the rims.
