Im having a few problems with my KZJ70. It starts and runs ok but I get a lot of acrid grey smoke on startup and it runs really rough until it warms up and then it runs fine. MPG is definitely down and it seems to be down on power too.
Not loosing coolant or oil.
So far I have:

I hope you didnt get any of Milners seals? All their non OEM seals are crap, they fail almost immediately! Loads of us at the European Land Cruiser Owners Club http://www.landcruiserclub.net have had issues with them. Its a shame they havent sorted their seals out as most of their products are...
Yup you have to remove the tank to get the feed/return pipes out. Depending on how old your truck is and how corrosive an area you drive in you might find the pipes dont survive being removed as its pretty common they corrode and fall apart. If there is ANY sign of corrosion on the pipes or...
Its easy and cheaper to make your own snorkel:
I removed the wing and cut a hole for the 3" alu pipe to fit through at the right angle then plumbed it to the airbox using 1x 45 and 1x 90 degree silicone induction pipe angles and another short length of alu pipe inside the wing. I welded a...
Mine seems to be leaking from the centre of the pump itself so Im assuming Ive got a seal on the way out. Its not a bad leak, there is no noticeable drop in the fluid level in the reservoir I only noticed due to the dark patch in the mud coating after my last off road adventure.
Ill look into...
Anyone know much about these, ever rebuild/serviced/replaced one? Im assuming it is gear driven off the timing gears?
Mine seems to be leaking fluid from the pump housing. After hearing horror stories from 80 series owners about gear driven power steering pumps seizing and killing engines I...
I bled the proportioning valve when I bled the rest of the system a few weeks ago. I think its worth doing as quite a bit of debris came out with the first few pumps which could end up damaging something otherwise.
I just bled the system in order of distance from the master cylinder: rear...
Surprisingly the diff case bearings seem fine, there are no marks on the races or shells and they still rotate freely and smoothly. I will disassemble the pinion and check the bearings there too. I might just replace them anyway to be sure, it all depends on how much they cost.
I...
Id been having some drive line judder for a few weeks, Id been under the truck so many times trying to find out what its was until last wednesday when it started klunking and by the time I reached the end of the street the judder got really bad and the knocking got louder and more constant...
I am assuming he means it has a 3litre engine (1KZ) rather than it has the 3L engine (3.4litre). Ive seen this confusion before on other forums.
@ Landcruiser Power: if you are running a 1KT engine can you show us how fitter the intercooler, how you upped the boost and did you do any mods to...
