Help with sourcing mounting nuts for Ramsey winch

Doh, the exploded view shows a normal nut with a washer... that explains the wider slot for the washer. Going to check garage now...

Help with sourcing mounting nuts for Ramsey winch

There are probably better/more appropriate forums for asking this question, but hoping someone here can send me to the right place... I have a Warn M8000 and when I mounted it I used some square nuts like those pictured. Well, those same nuts do not fit in the Ramsey 9500 I just got on...

Projecting, tinkering, fiddle-farting around: whatcha building?

Maple syrup evaporator - built a firebox/arch. I did not build the stainless pan on top. Used this to start learning to weld. I suck at sheet metal welding.

Good Engine Hoist and Engine Stand Shop Use

I bought a used "Bluebird" from a rental shop that was liquidating its inventory. $300. I have not found any new models that break down as easily and as compact. Very happy with mine

Anyone built their own bike frame before?

Good luck. Years ago I looked into building a few frames for myself. I bought (an expensive) manual (The Paterek Manual) that is meant for early frame builders. Then I found a few places on the west coast that sell a week or so of shop time and instruction so you go there for 5 days and go...

    4Runner 1997 and 2001 seats swap?

I've got a parts car with a great interior (97) and a 2001 with a not so nice interior. Will the front and rear seats just bolt into the 01 form the 97? If so - how easy is this for a newbie? Any resources to help me/guide me? Thanks

Remove rear diff gear and run as front wheel drive 4runner?

I had a complete rear. But the gearing was 4.10 not 356 like I needed. Would have just swapped the gears but used the new carrier, axles, etc. I guess the best thing is to find new 3rd/gears and use the new housing, or just sell truck for parts.

Remove rear diff gear and run as front wheel drive 4runner?

That's a good idea - but the cost for labor (I can't do the work myself) would be a lot since the frame and diff and all the mounting stuff is rusted to hell. I already had the rear before this happened but two mechanics suggested not to replace it - not worth the cost. One flat out...

Remove rear diff gear and run as front wheel drive 4runner?

I got a free 97 4runner from a friend since the rear diff housing had a leak in it. We tried sealing it up but didn't do a very good job. I had a whole new rear ready to go but the underside was so rusted we just decided to skip replacing the rear. Well, the fluid finally got too low and I...

    Dishwasher recommendations?

We considered the Bosch and LG - went with LG based on consumer reports - they were essentially the same scores, but a little cheaper.
