Been sitting on these forever and think it's time to unload-
Early NV4500 2wd, no stick. Got it from a tranny shop in VA about 10 years ago for a project I never got to. It was a fresh rebuild at the time, however it's been sitting in storage since. $1200 OBO.
40/45 series full float rea axle...
Owned three 7.3l and two 6.0s. They both have their issues, but the 7.3s have run longer and better, with fewer repairs. Longest running one was at 394k when the body rusted off of it. Current one is at 215k. Due for glows, hpop and injectors tho....and of course brakes again.
Honestly had more...
Had overheating issues with my stock 40 Rad, SBC and mechanical fan. Ran 20-40 degrees above the Tstat and really heated up at idle in traffic. Added a shroud and it helped the overheating at idle. Switched to a becool 4core replacement and it never got above the Tstat temp.
Had a taurus fan...

How many miles on the injectors?
Did you go with stock or aftermarket?
Anything else (HPOP, IPR, etc.) done at the same time?
Didn't happen to do a compression test on it while the glows were out?

Like mud for Ford diesels.
Think the head gasket issue was resolved by 06. Variable vain turbos don't handle high miles like the fixed ones and need quality air filtration.
Not sure if the 6.0s have the HEUI injectors, but I've been told they are temperamental about fuel...
Well I cheated.
Rivers have been high and murky. Spent the weekend chasing brookies on the mountain streams without even a nibble. Spotted F&W stocking trophies in the Lamoille yesterday morning below the Fairfax Dam. Went back this morning about 200 yards down stream and hooked 3 nice...
Wow, really thought you diesel cruiser guys were getting better mileage than that.
My F350 CCSD with 7.3l, automatic, 3.73s over the last 12k miles averaged 19.8 mpg (US). When I got it last spring it had a sticky caliper and one rear drum and was getting 16.4 mpg. Fixed brakes, put new tires...
Same here. Don't think I paid over $230 for the U shaped one between the top and side panels and the two between the side panels and tub. That was a few years ago tho.
Don't know how strict MA is, but be careful. I had them on my F350 and found out our state safety inspection now requires load/speed ratings meet vehicle specs.
This was coming from my "friendly" inspection station too. He said they're cracking down big time.
Reduced to $7,500.
Lotta tire-kickers, but nobody with cash. Willing to sell just the truck with some or no extra parts....open to all cash offers but not looking for trades.
