Outsane, The rear hitch should not be used for much towing. That 4 bolt bracket ties the two rear bumpers together. No link to a frame member. If memory serves. Plz. double check.

Just watched Texasknowhow on youtube for 80 series radio upgrade install.
After install he describes needing to cut the antenna wire connection from the radio to harness.

Use two sets of bar clamps, on top of and from under the frame rails.
Clamp both up and they will pull the rails in enough to slide the ARB on. :bounce2:

Since you're replacing the heater valve, recommend eliminating the rear heat circuit.
Carslbad...how often do you need rear heat!
The rear heat circuit has more rubber lines which can fail and drain the precious coolant!
Be patient, have razor blade, shears crawl on top of engine to cut/remove...
Look forward to deleting power robbing stuff of these soon to be 25 year old beasts of burden!

IMHTLO...posts say if u have more than one speed it is the resistor block inside the evaporator box.
For single speed fan operation, I hope u r not looking for the fan speed control relay, above & behind the glove box, behind 3 separate connectors and setting on top of somewhat flexible duct...
