Indeed I'm very happy with the suspension. I have a few thousand miles the springs and it drives so well. The stance is just right. Thanks @cruiseroutfit for the awesome service.
Been to busy to post lately but got a chance to get some powder coating done cheap by a friend of a friend just before the Baja 1000. Decided to try something different.
The hurricane that went through Baja and all the race trucks in front of us made the course just soft and choppy the entire time so we had some heating issues on the shocks. They could be cooled by driving slower and highway sections. The course was just so choppy this year it was brutal on the...
Hard to say. I was one of the drivers in the lx600 this year but it had been through a lot before it got to me at Rm599. The biggest difference is delivery of power and it took me a bit to get comfortable with the inputs. Basically had to override my muscle memory from driving Monica/v8.

Sort of. They also opted to take the sportsman cutoff which eliminated the hardest 110 miles of the course. Not disparaging them at all. The cutoffs exist for a reason and a handful of classes need them to make the cut off time but apples and oranges between the trucks and the race speeds
They are planning on 6 mpg during race conditions. We plan at 5 mpg. Our tank is slightly bigger so pitting will be in the same location for each truck. That was a big relief and made my job much easier
I've had my carpet from @dnp lying around since January but it's finally warming up enough that I'm going to tackle the project. So is the sound deadening material worth it? i'm torn on whether or not to do it as my door seals are so bad I doubt I would even notice the noise difference.
I've had that discussion with him a few times and just not something he's interested in unfortunately. He won't take money from me either. He's been making them for me for about 10 years (started when I moved from an 80 to a 100.) Not the best pic but here is my 200 shifter. I could always ask...
I spend most of my time lurking and researching in the 60 series forum. Most of my posting is in the 200 section but like these photos enough to share. Really happy with my new shift knob.
👍 Picked them up in the auto district in Riyadh, SA back in January. I'm pretty happy with how they look. No idea how well they'll hold up to the elements but for now I dig them.
Snapped this pic of my friend's 200 the other day. We chose to take on a canyon that last time I drove it (2013) we had to do some winching to get up. Fortunately it had been tamed a little since then and we made it through with little issue in our 200s.
