I'll be joining in, with one passenger [and apparently coastal kevin's dog].
We're working on the 60 to get it up and running for the trip. Currently fighting brake-line goblins.
There's some talk about leaving Friday AM and taking the long route through Lake Louise.
i like the idea of a colour matched panel - could look really nice. A word of caution tho - that metal will be sitting in the sun and be BLISTERING hot. You may want to consider something a little less thermally conductive. You could build up MDF then sand and paint it - maybe even sand it...
... unimpressed.
I had to clean it to see out the back window - i tried to save a flower, i really did.
Instead, flowers started showing up on other blue 60's. I think it's a disease. maybe a fungus.
I'm always amazed by those Icelandic rigs. Unique trucks for a unique landscape.
...And now you have a volcano. I'm intensely jealous.
Fantastic pictures, thanks for taking the time to post them.
Once it is warm it's not bad at all - little to no smoke and fires right up. I'll keep an eye out for air leaks - any tips on what / where to look?
Thanks,
Spencer
Hey All,
[I've done the searches and I've read the sticky, so I'm not going into this blind, just stupid]
My 84 F>BTJ60 has been parked for the past couple of months while I've been in school. It had regular start ups to shuffle it in and out of the garage and the occasional rip around the...
Solid looking truck - you did the right thing to save her.
Nice to score an ARB in the deal too.
PS. If rockdoc gives you a hard time, tell him the square ones take on water faster.
Looks like a nice light - Id be interested to compare them side by side with a HID system. It'd be a real shame to get one bashed by a rock or a tree while wheeling - maybe a 3m coating or protection?
Any idea how they are for heat? Must get pretty toasty.
There's been quite a few guys who have done this, with a variety of products. Your best bet would be to do an advanced search [its a drop-down from the search button at the top of the page] and peruse - I'll be doing the same when I do the same thing to my cruiser this summer.
yours would start, and run, but promptly refuse to continue to run once you tried to go anywhere. serves you right for trying to drown it / listening to ratpuke.
bad pin in the MAF sensor. Cleaned it up, realigned it and she fired up and runs sweet.
Pics soon [no camera on hand]. Keep in mind its a Canadian 4Runner, so when I say rusty, I mean Re-define your definition of corrosion kind of rusty. You'll probably want to make sure small children...
Hey All,
First off, this is my first 4runner and I'm not familiar with the engine so ... be gentle.
My roomate picked up a beater 89 [but second generation, 90+ body style] with a rotten body and 390K on the clock. He drove it for a couple of months before it started overheating and "puking...
