    KC, Missouri: Looking to get into an FJ60 but nervous about getting in over my head

    I daily'd a 60 for about 6-7 years. It was pretty constant maintenance and fixing and improving. I sold it a few years ago because the rust was more than I wanted to deal with and needed something that took less of my time. Now, my 100 and first gen Tacoma are making my tools just collect dust!

    LOKKA - Automatic Differential Locker Lokka says the front lockers require the part time kit. The rear for an open diff just replaces the gears.     Good thoughts. A locker is not at the top of my list, but the low cost of the Lokka and ease of install means it’ll be somewhat soon. I’ll definitely get on the trail the way it is and see how this thing works stock!

    Just got an 06 LC. Also have a diesel 60 with an Aussie locker in the rear. Love the auto locker in it. Now: the 80’s guys have nothing but great things to say about auto lockers for rear axles. So, why am I reading about so much hesitation from 100 owners? They’re both full time four wheel drive?

    Appreciate the advice there. Planning to head down to Adventure Motors to see their two 100s. The Carfaxs show that they’re both originally NY vehicles, so I’m fine walking away.
