My 94 cruiser is starting to show signs of age.
As part of my maintenance, should I rebuild or simply clean the engine? I will probably take it apart just to examine everything and learn a little bit.
:hhmm: Is there a market for rebuilt 1FZ-FE's?
That's awesome. I think the hood scoop looks great. Would you recommend doing this mod?
This thread has got me thinking... I posted a slightly offtopic thread full of some questions on the subject of turbos/intercoolers.
blarsen's Intercooler for TRD Supercharger got me thinking. I'm very interested in doing a similar mod, but I am curious about a few things.
What effect would an intercooler have on gas mileage?
The air cooled by the intercooler is denser, and I think that increases power output. Does that...
Pioneer AVIC-D3. It's a great unit. It has GPS and great sound. Dvd and CD playing ability, and auxillary inputs in the back for audio/video in (to hook up an mp3 player or playstation or the like.
It might not be the cause of the problem, but I bet the contacts in the DS control panel are all carbonized. It might be worth while to remove it and give the contacts a good rub down with a wire brush.
I'd get it redone and have it routed out the side behind the mud-flap like you said. Less likely to get ripped off or crushed if you come down off a shelf hard.
I remember when I was a kid my mother's rear window on her Camry exploded spontaneously in the driveway. Turned out an acorn fell from a tree the car was parked under and hit with enough force to shatter the windshield. Doubt this happened with your (near) vertical windows though...
I think my garage is lower than average, because my bone stock FZJ-80 fits in with only a few inches to spare. I like the idea of making the garage bigger though! :D
Hey, I do that all the time :hillbilly:. Who doesn't? As richj11 mentioned, the ARB spacers are flat pieces of metal. That's your best bet for spacers, but It might be hard to find metal strips thick enough at a place such as Home Depot or Lowes. I'd look for a metal fabrication shop and ask...
Pressure is equal to force over area, so if you decreased the area that the winch contacts just by half, that's twice as much pressure on each spacer. It looks like the area has been decreased by much more than half. I wouldn't use spacers like that. It shouldn't be too hard to find some square...
