i have a 93 with grey interior and am trying to find the screw covers for all the inside pillar/roof grips. not sure about the "real" name for these, cause i've always called them the "oh $hit" grips. :) these grips are on the interior roof and pillars, and each grip has 2 screw/bolt covers...
doug,
thanks for the heads-up. i've got a 93 with ABS, but no lockers.
sounds like the 94 FSM is the way to go, but i guess a lot of the AC stuff will be wrong in that one :(
ppc,
sorry i need to lay off the pipe, and stop working on my truck for awhile.
:slap:
i think at this point it is the actuator, i'm gonna try to pull it and make it behave. i can hear a click behind the kick panel, and a click underneath the truck when i put it in low. all switches test...
:ban: ,
i did not realize i was being vague...
as far as i can tell there are only three switches on the t-case. 2 on the back, and 1 on the front.
the front one is the Transfer Indicator Switch" and one on the back is the 4L Switch. there is one left on the back and it is almost touching...
if i had more money, i would have bought a 40th Anniversary or a Collectors Edition.
I think most people here would agree that the ideal LC would be one:
with full lockers
without roof rack
without running boards
maybe even without sunroof
unfortunately, this combo is beyond rare :flipoff2:
well this weekend i took all three switches out of the t-case and cleaned and tested them. they all check out, but no CDL :(
are the 4L Switch and Transfer Indicator Switch identical parts?
thanks,
ivan
:D to look on the bright side, i guess the PO wasn't lying about never taking it off-road.
thanks to everyone that has been helping me troubleshoot this. i feel like i'm getting closer.
thanks for the help.
i'm gonna try the trick with the 9V direct next to see if the actuator is working at all.
if it is "atrophied from lack of use" is this a repair or replace?
and we're just talking about the actuator being atrophied, not the whole system right?
if i were to put in the dash mounted CDL button, that would overide the rear switch on the t-case, right? i know a lot of you guys remove that rear switch in the t-case anyway. WITHOUT the Dash CDL button, is that rear switch on the t-case what actually tells the CDL actuator to engage? and...
the truck i just bought may have a cursed CDL :-\
i found out shortly after buying the truck that the CDL did not engage, and have been trying to track down the problem. here's where i'm currently at with it.....
nature of problem:
when i put the truck in 4L, i can hear the relay behind the...
