    floor shifter holes

Does anyone have either a template or good pictures of where the stock holes are supposed to be in the transmission cover for a 3 speed with manual transfer case? Mine had a vacuum actuated transfer case originally and someone just cut one big hole in the cover. I would like to weld up the...

3D Print and CAD File Repository - 40 Series

Hood spear made from two files so they fit on a small printer bed. The overall curve is a bit off but the mounting bolts pull it nicely into shape. Uses 3 standard 6mm bolts for mounting. The puzzle piece split is a bit tight as I designed line to line...

    3D printed hood Spear.....

Here is an example of another part that you can no longer buy so I reverse engineered and printed my own replacement. I have also made chainsaw and motorcycle parts that can no longer be purchased.....maybe it is a sickness...

    3D printed hood Spear.....

I just have an Ender3pro at home that I run cheap Amazon Hatchbox PLA on for test fit parts. If it is something important, I have access to state of the art production level printers at work. Now that I know my model I made from internet pictures fits, I will probably print a solid one in one...

    40 Doors anyone?

I posted up some early FST doors in the classified just to see if anyone wanted them as apparently they are somewhat rare. I have had many lowball offers but people do not want to ship etc. Ideally, what I would really like is to just trade them with someone local for some early hard doors in...

For Sale 1964 FJ40 FST doors, SW Michigan

People are asking how much I want for these....I do not really know what they are worth to be honest. All I really would like is enough to replace them with some decent hard doors that would fit my '69. If you have some that you would like to trade, that would be great.

For Sale 1964 FJ40 FST doors, SW Michigan

Some more photos...it seems that someone skinned them with aluminum at some point. There is one spot of rust from what I can tell.

Unfortunately they are quite expensive ($20-$100+K) but lucky for me, my kid bought one for a side business and I get to play with it! It is the size of a washing machine with a corded pistol style hand piece on the end.

This is not an indorsement etc. - just to show it in action. In this video he (my son) is burning off silver paint (hard color to do). It burns off rust way better/faster. https://www.mwlasercleaning.com/ Hopefully in a few months, when I get to working on the FJ, he can post some videos to...

The laser is amazing. Since I do not know how to post a video, here are some screen shots of a 8 sec. video where we were playing around with it on an old dirty rusted exhaust manifold. It literally goes from rusted pitted metal to grey bare paintable steel in less than 8 seconds....plus it is...

I grew up with FJ's in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and always wanted one just for fun here in the US. I had a weak moment and impulse bought an old rusted out '69 (price was right). Now the fun begins! The plan now is to get it running and fix all the drivetrain and shore up the floor in...
