Closed on 20 acres so spent some time to cut in a road to get the HJ back there. Chainsaw decided to bitch out so I used a bunch of snatch blocks, my winch, and that Japanese deisel to just pull trees out of the way.
Well this was a month long endeavor of trying to find time. I had some vibration starting when I was hitting about 45 MPH. Thought it was tires being low in air. It turns out the bolts on the U-Joint to the pinion flange were backed off. 3/16"-1/4" gap between the two. The diff was covered in...
I have a CNC router that I plan on programming and cutting them with. Send Cut Send is great for metal work. Their pricing has steadily increased over the past two years though. I'm hoping to get a high def plasma in house sooner rather than later.
I got them. I still have not cut them. Im tweaking the rear panels and the tailgate panel. Im also going to 3D scan the doors and get the door cards worked up. Just got to find the time to get it all perfect!
I should note, I have a full on fab shop both metal and wood. I plan on cutting these from Walnut plywood. After I get the design nailed down would be open to orders.
Ive been wanting to make some walnut panels for my HJ61. If anyone has drawing files for the door cards, rear panel covers, and tailgate cover I would gladly pay for them. Yeah I know I can pull them and template for the files, but I'm lazy and building a bumper.
Boost was ~6.8
I was hoping the added boost would do what is does and cool EGTs a bit
Thanks for at least making me feel better about the temps I have been likely pushing. The hills around here can be steep, but nothing long and sustained.
My thoughts exactly on the WA intercoolers. Plus...
Right on. I figure if its just standoffs and such on the back side I can live with it. I figured I would mark and go with the angle grinder and finess with the dremel. Dremels are handy, but they are slow AF!
Solid feeedback. Yeah I think I'll hold off on the turbo. Nothing wrong with the stock, no need in dumping out another 2.5k for something that isnt needed. I think I'm going to go with the PDI, probably in a couple months. Good call on double cheking all of the AC components. Mounting the...
First off what I'm working with.

Main querry is on PDI intercooler fit on HJ61. But here is what I did with my diesel this past weekend.
I finally got around to installing a...
I see no one has replied here. I recently ripped the stereo out of mine. I installed a small deep cycle battery and 24v-12v converter under my driver's seat. I added a separate fuse box and am running all of my new accessories from that box.
That being said I have not even looked to see if I...
Alright guys and gals. I've poured over all aspect of installing this truboost controller and an EGT. I've got everything figured out except for one aspect.
Where is the best place to collect manifold pressure for the boost gauge? I'm assuming I can t off one of the vac lines, but which one...
Finally dug into the 12v electronics on my 24v HJ61. Pulled the dash cover off and found a mess. Japanese kenwood head unit, wiring for two seat mount tvs, wiring for bum backup cam. Like a damned rats nest. Took me a solid hour of tracing and labeling to get it all squared away. Im in process...
Thanks for all the input guys. Seeing as how its only two. I was wondering if I could fit them in in the blank spot used by Paco! Looks like I can fit them in right there. Awesome input everyone big thanks.
I pulled the dash, the Japanese head unit, the wiring they had for rear mount tvs, the...
I've been scouring everything to find a pillar mount gauge set up for my HJ61. Tons of 70 stuff in Australia. Nothing for a 60 series. I know there are universal ones I could form and trim, but...
Has anyone had luck on RHD set up pillar mounts? There is an old post from a user that hasn't been...
