I dont know if it is that exactly. But when I connect the IAC and the TPS the truck will bog out/down when I attempt to throttle up. when I disconnect them both it still runs rough, but it will drive. Im going to be honest with you, I dont know what is wrong with this truck, and i dont know how...
I have a 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser and I am looking for the Idle Air Control Valve assembly, everywhere I look is either sold out or it is discontinued. If someone has one that is working please let me know. Or text me @ 520-244-6790 thanks
I actually had to purchase a new AFM because I was stupid and removed the 2 screws on the original one. So i learned a costly mistake...lol, that wont happen again. But i did test the new AFM i purchased from summit racing and it is working properly.
I doubled checked the TPS and used the service manual to make sure i installed it correctly. There was no water in it either. The RPM's go right up to that and does not come back down unless i put it in drive or reverse, but then it bogs down when i attempt to throttle up?
the truck is running, but not drivable. it will not idle below 3500 rpm, it is running very rough, and when I attempt to throttle it up, it will die. i have not taken it to a mechanic yet, because I have to tow it back home. its currently sitting at my in-laws driveway. But I would rather try...
Honestly, I am reaching out to everyone on here, because the truck has about 350K miles on it and my wife loves the LC and I want it to last for her long term.

Yes I did unscrew the 2 Phillips screws and pulled that part out as I realized it wasn’t supposed to be removed that way. So I guess I broke it. I ended up finding a refurbished AMF in summit racing’s website for $75 plus shipping. I hope this fixes the issue. Thanks for the help. Sorry about...
Just like i told @jonheld, this is my first LC and im not to familiar with where all the components are right now. So im not sure what you mean when you say "Jump the Fp and +B terminals in the diagnostic connector and see if it runs." Gonna need a little help on this.
Im gonna be honest with you, this is my first LC and im not to familiar with where all the components are right now. But thank you for the info on the AFM vs. the MAF. The check engine light is on when it is in the ON/RUN position, once i kick it over it goes away, but it stalls out after a few...
I have a 1992 FJ80 Land Cruiser. It was running 2 days ago, when I decided that the MAF Sensor need to be cleaned out because of the prior owner. It has grease and buildup inside it and I cleaned it out with Carb cleaner, now it wont start. I used ether/starter fluid and sprayed it inside the...
