The auxilary tank runs down the side of the tail shaft between
the transfercase and the diff on the (us) passanger side sorry

I have a 160 litre (42 US gallon) replacement tank in my 60
it was made by 4x4 systems in Oz, the fit was perfect
I also have a 130 litre (34 us gallon) auxillary tank for long
trips such as Canning stock route where you need to carry
about 350 litres of feul
The 13bt is a fairly common transplant in Australia
and is very good on fuel

Buy a set of 60 series axles use the housings for the SOA cause
there wider and swap the 4.1 out of it with the 4.88 for the trip

If the t/c switch has failed and kept the circut open to close off the 2wd soleniod would it be possibble that the soleniods are both open to the vaccum therefor unable to shift.
this would explain the t/c shifting half way while driving maybe
and not engaging 4wd when shifted into low by the...
HJ60 came with a double cardan front shaft but has the small
flanges. I used one on my FJ62 when I did the SOA.
The Hilux (mini) Shaft can be used and has Greater flex in the uni's
The flanges are easy to change they nearly all fit each other
The HJ60 shaft is common in OZ and I think Canada...
G'day guy's the ozzy company that putts coils with 2 leafsprings is Cumfort coils. Dont know if they have a web site or not. Ill try and find it for you.
