What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Was able to finally blow some cobwebs and take her out on some local trails this weekend: Did run into an issue with the factory tire mount bracket starting to crack, so that will be the next thing to fix.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Took the FJ40 for a 5 day camping trip in Death Valley National Park: If you only care to see the FJ40 climbing up some dry water falls skip to 3:53 Overall FJ40 performed well with ~700 miles of driving, though been thinking of going with a R2.8 and NV4500 swap, currently running a 327 SBC...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Yea, I block out the plates on my my videos. Not sure if really adds more privacy, but at least I feel a bit more secure posting car stuff while trying to protect my privacy. Figure we spend a lot of time on our rigs / projects and would suck for someone to just run your plates and find out...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Yea, it was my 1st time doing this road and it was fantastic. Started at Barstow and was only able to make it to Baker in 3 days. Spent a lot of time sight seeing. Plan to go again in March and start from Baker and make our way to Bull Head. Even with GPS, we managed to get off the road near...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Rigged up a EVAP system with charcoal canister to get rid of using a vented gas cap, as gas will spill out when off-roading with anything over 1/2 a tank. I am little embarrassed to be showing the final product, but I am fairly confident it will resolve the issue I was having. I will try to...

    Death Valley Advice

I do, drove 80 miles home at 18psi from a semi-local trail last weekend in the FJ40 because of said lazyness. Most of the roads in DV are well maintained graded dirt roads, done most of the park including playa race track in my model 3. I see rhah's tercel did something similar.

After Mesquite Flat Dunes I'd recommending taking the 190 to panamint valley rd, check out Ballarat ghost town Ballarat (Ghost Town) - https://goo.gl/maps/nita8ZzafqkmojnB6 (optional) and then Trona Pinnacles Trona Pinnacles - https://goo.gl/maps/fCUhMrhcSoczVr458 (must see if you haven't).

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Did a day trip out to a semi-local trail: One issue I did encounter was gas spilling out of the vented gas cap as I did top off the tank before hitting the trail. Will need to do some research on retrofitting an evap system so I can use a sealed gas cap.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I've finally got around to installing a high flow cat on my SBC swapped FJ40. Something I should have done sooner, exhaust stink is pretty much gone with two magnaflow 400 cell high flow cat. Running EFI with 14.7:1 afr for idle and cruise. Something I would recommend if you got the carb / EFI...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Tackled a rust spot on the bed panel, 1st time blending in a patch panel for a rust repair. Trying to get some practice in before tackling some exterior rust spot on the lower section of the top. Think it turned out pretty good for 1st attempt.

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Yea, I have Fitech Fuel Injection in two cars now. So far they've worked well and no issues. Driving from sea level to little over 8,000ft on a carb would have been interesting and possibly problematic. I've heard good thing things about Holly Sniper, the important bit will be the fuel...

@ToyotaMatt Thanks for the kind words! @tstepp920 Yea, that was me. Never got around to doing a build thread, just a few posts on this thread. Recently got a go-pro, so started doing some video to archive my progress on my projects. @tls3601 Thanks, actually using that for my Fitech Fuel...

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Nice deal, I got new oem replacements from amazon. Main reason I did it was because I wanted the extra drivetrain length for a future nv4500 swap. Previously had the specter off road fender flares that looked good, and are a bit less wider than the jeeps.
