It’s low on coolant.. doesn’t smell weird though. Oil was dark but not milky. Like I said, runs real rough.. but I noticed a couple little vacuum hoses that seemed to have slipped off.. plus bad plugs for sure.
Hello gents, I’m kind of a rookie when it comes to wrenching on these cruisers.. sold mine for way under priced blah blah blah. Anywho, I found another cruiser for pretty cheap. Gentleman says the motor has been swapped with an motor that isn’t stock? He also knows literally nothing about cars...
Really good rig, ‘95 Land Cruiser.. 290k miles, clean title.. center diff locker works really well
Pros:
Runs like a top, shifts good ( was told the motor was rebuilt )
Leather interior in good shape for the age.. no real tears.
New pads, rotors, bearings, repacked the axles with moly grease...
I’d see how much you’ve got into it, Like others said... perfect for someone as a first car, or an old man rig. I’d keep it and do a little maintenance and cal it a day!
Agree with the above post, lots of people on mud are very particular about that sort of stuff.. I run peak green and it does the trick fine. Also, why so expensive there? I buy it from harbor freight for 7.99$, I’d check that out!
I’ve got a silly question, 1995 fzj80 flushing the cooling system, stock radiator and I can’t seem to find anything about the petcock location? I’ve searched and searched. I know I’m totally missing it. Anyone able to help with some pictures? Thanks!
Cool rig, looks like a pretty good deal.. common issues, I agree with the above.. use the money you saved and baseline and take care of a couple little things, then go wheeling!
I daily drive my 80, about 30 minutes each way every day. Get terrible gas mileage, but it drives super nice and I feel safe and comfortable. So I think it’s a great idea!
