Another vote for Carista here. I went through all the trouble of Techstream initially but Carista is far simpler. Have used it on a variety of vehicles including our LC200. Relatively cheap and dead easy.
It’s really not very complicated and if you have the right tools (especially the crow foot) everything is fairly easy to knock out. It took me maybe 2-3 hours in total but I was being very deliberate. I’m sure I could do it much faster the second time around.
I just downloaded and installed Techstream yesterday per the directions provided here on Mud. It took maybe 10 minutes to set it up and another 10 minutes to hook it up to the LC 200 and disable that stupid damn chiming. 😃
I always wear my seatbelt when I’m driving on the road at speed - though...
Dude! Amazing detail and dedication. I'm certain that all of your efforts will help folks down the line. So glad you got it working - enjoy your labor day!!!!!!
Just a totally random observation from someone with absolutely zero electrical or motor experience - but, as you've alluded to, the precise timing of the shutdown seems to me to indicate something other than a component heating up and causing problems - especially since the truck starts back up...
Ok. Then I’m even more confused. If I read your post above correctly, tire inflation is related to the overall suspension of the vehicle and the different suspensions (springs, etc) between the LC and LX resulted in the need for differing inflation pressures. If you change out springs...
So how does one go about determining the appropriate inflation when you make suspension changes? If I add a 2” Icon lift does everything essentially go out the window? Is there a method for figuring it out?
Sorry for the late hijack. Looking for proper inflation pressure for a stock 2011 LC200 running LT285/65R18 Ridge Grapplers. Can’t seem to find it in the search.
I really appreciate it!!!
Point taken. It was just strange that 1) the battery was low at all - If I had fried the battery during the spark show I would expect it to continue to not hold a charge - but it has been fine the last few days - cranking like it’s brand new. And 2) I’ve never had a vehicle with a low battery...
Yeah. I need to get rid of the alarm but electrical systems are my kryptonite and I dread digging into it...
And my wife is glad about the $0 element to it but she’s officially boycotting the 93 at this point. She says it stinks too much (it does a bit but I call it the smell of freedom) and...
Ok boys. Here’s the latest. I got back from the long weekend and the damn thing is now running. There are two things that I can identify as possible solutions. First, I had left the battery on a charger while I was away. Although the accessories and lights were running strong it is possible...
