It’s very easy to do. Drain the pan, let it go for a while, undo all the pan bolts. Carefully lower the pan because there will still be fluid. Then it’s a few bolts that retain the wire harness, carefully unclip them and boom.
Ps if anyone sees my truck on copart…totaled in a flood in ct back...
Just got a new key from 1010 keys this week. Both are from 1010 keys for my 04 LX470. The flip style key on the right, I could never get the fob to work the locks. Ive tryed several times. No issues getting the truck into programming mode. Just never worked. Starts the truck fine.
The key on...
Got it back yesterday.
External transmission wiring harness had to be replaced due to corrosion. Transmission was fine. Many lessons to be learned here.
If there's any lesson to learn here, it's do not bring it to a shop and tell them you aren't in a rush...it's been there since November. I'm calling this week to just get it back
Its a cool idea, but yeah I'm not exactly sure how much fuel you really saved. You would have been better off running the inverter, turning the heat up in the house, having the fam take showers and then just charge the battery rather than running the truck for 20 hours
I'd have to go check my garage since the running boards are off, but im pretty sure its just some kind of acrylic tube with a light on the end, its not a gas discharge light.
Keep in mind this vehicle was not 4300x3 when it was originally sold. The repair cost should be more in-line with its original cost.
I always tell people when they buy an older, depreciated vehicle that they can't believe how cheap it is. You either need to be rich or be able to do your own work.
At this point id have a hard time anything was done right. No offense to your trusted mechanic, but that's a mighty big jump to go from "needs a motor" to a CPS. Assuming you hadn't asked a bunch of internet strangers for a second opinion, you may have been taken for a ride by this "trusted"...
