    Driveshaft Shops in Bay Area

Another downvote here for Southbay. Asked them to install u-joints and balance; u-joints weren't greased, c-clips weren't seated, and orientation was incorrect. Asking the owner for rework was impossible. See my yelp review for the full story. Fixed the orientation issue myself and ended up...

80 series baselining part list compilation

Cleaned up the sheet and made versions to distinguish 93-94 and 95-97. Unfortunately I don't have an FJ80 so I wouldn't feel as confident in putting together this info for those folks.

80 series baselining part list compilation

This is a compilation of parts and prices from various sources (amazon, dealerships, Rockauto, etc) broken out into sublists for things like a brake job, axle rebuild, etc. I started this sheet when I was baselining my 93fzj and noticed that oftentimes there was a range of prices for a...

    Interior center console paint?

Did you guys ever figure out the SEM color code for LB10? I have a 93 as well. Apparently the #10 color code is generic Toyota grey and doesn't necessarily translate across models/years. http://members.iinet.com.au/~stepho/colour.htm

    Help identifying this harness?

I took out my radio/head unit and noticed that this harness has broken leads. I spent a good amount of time looking at it but couldn't figure out where it's supposed to connect. I followed the other end down to what looks like an air duct. I'm guessing a temperature sensor?

    Interior light gremlins

I spent another 8 hours looking at this and I'm pretty sure I found the problem. The culprit ended up being a door pin switch that I broke when I took it apart for cleaning. I should have narrowed it earlier when I noticed the lights flickering whenever going over bumps. Turns out the door...

    Interior light gremlins

Worked on it more today with a fresh battery. The battery is sourcing 112 mA with the dome fuse plugged in, 12 mA without. This is after sorting out a bad door pin switch and messing around with the rear wiper motor electronics (unsure if related). See attached for more details; order of events...

    Interior light gremlins

Thanks for clearing that up, @voodu3. I realized that there are a couple versions of the wiring diagram in the same service manual; after seeing your image I found the diagrams that show the luggage light and D9. @fjbj40 The path with diode D9 connects to the rear hatch switch, and is in...

    Interior light gremlins

My 93 FZJ has several issues that are pointing me toward the dome interior light circuit (attached image). 1. High dark current draw led to battery dying (will measure again with fresh battery) 2. Flickering dome lights I followed the path of others by refurbishing the door pin switches, and...
