Lens fitment as well as sheet-metal relief behind the light. The 99 LC tailgate has one small hole lower in the space while the LX has basically the whole area behind the light removed to accommodate the dual bulb setup. Sorry i didn't take more photos.
Its also interesting that the upper...
For informational purposes I found the following during my installation of an 99 LC liftgate and (failed installation) tailgate
The lift gate fits perfectly with all brackets and harnesses lining up correctly.
The tailgate will not work as the wire harness exits the opposite side from the LX...
I finally got around to installing my 99 upper and lower gates. The upper went in with no problems. All harnesses matched and the trim as well.
Where things ended was when trying to install the 99 LC lower to my 00 LX. First, the wire loom exits the 99 on the passenger side to the car and has a...
I saw this in searching for some photos of the replacement process. I have the opposite issue. But i've had a CORRECTION 1999 LC upper and lower sitting in my garage to swap onto my 00 LX for 2 years now. Finally getting around to starting the project.
I'll post up here if i find any...
1" poly will spall when impacted with NIJ Level IIIA threats. It needs to be a laminate in order to provide in plane shear energy dissipation. Poly is also soft. We typically use two layers of 3/8" acrylic backed with a 1/8" poly to act as a catcher mitt.
As i Stated in my DM to you, NIJ Level...
My truck lived its life in New Hampshire. The shady south florida dealer i bought it from had it undercoated. When i inspected the belly looked clean and black and fresh. About a month later all of that spray coating flaked off and left me with a rolling tetanus party mobile.
Oh wow, yours looks as bad as mine. I just fabricated a whole new crossmember this weekend because I couldn't justify the $250 for a new one from Daddy-T.
My overall rust problem looks about as bad as yours too. I ended up cutting the old crossmember out versus messing with all the rusted...
I have a 2000 LX with 160,000. Its black on tan. I'll be honest its rusty. It came from Vermont. I've replaced everything critical (TB,WP,tees). OME medium lift and diff drop installed, AHC removed. New front brakes, calipers, and bearings. Home fabbed sliders. Rear LandShark cargo box. Has like...
The factory bracket sits right below the passenger AC drain. In the replacement I made I added some reinforcing buttress. But I made sure to leave drain holes in the apex of the angle iron so it would catch water like the factory design does.
A qualified welder/fabricator should be able to fix...
Recently, my passenger mirror has decided that any time i turn the truck on it wants to rotate to a full forward (mirror facing straight away from vehicle) even though the mirror fold button is in the off position. It doesn't matter if i do or do not select a driver preference button. It also...
Both of those are the correct part.
My truck is probably the worst rust example on here. It finally rusted through something critical. Must have finally cracked right as I got back to the house after driving to work yesterday. Thankfully I saw the leak before I went hunting today.
