Some 2007's and 2008 are having the inner fenders rip. Some dealers are replacing the inner fenders which is a large task and not cheap. Other dealers will deny the ower's the repair becauser their rig has a lift kit on it.
Seems Toyota has redesigned the inner fender for 2009. Haven't heard...
My initial impressions of the 4x4, M/T FJ Cruiser. I have about 900 miles on the truck and have done some mild off-roading with it. I like the amount of articulation that wheels have and the power/tork is more than enough for the type of off-roading I’m presently doing. The ride is much softer...
Picked my 4x4, M/T, Sandstorm up on 11-14-08. I have 404 miles on it.
Nice thing is my 08 Vett (Z51) now stays in my garage most of the time.

Seems there are deals out there. I just picked up a 2008 Sandstorm, 4x4, M/T and the sticker was 28,967.00. I got it for 21,603.00 ( that number does not include tax/license). But it was a great deal considering I got the CQ, OF, HD, So 2q, SL 6b and 6d packages with the truck.
What is a reasonable price to pay for a used stock FJ with the option 2 package, vodoo blue, six speed manual trans, stock skid plate and rock guards. Vehicle is in excellent condition. It has 8500 miles on it.
Thanks
Chuck
I ordered mine on line on 15 April and still have not received it.
Last night I called 1 800 GO-TOYOTA. They had no record of my web order and asked for a bunch of information and related they would call back within 72 hrs
I have 1800 miles on mine. It's a 4X4, M/T and the best MPG I've gotten is 15.67.
My friend has the automatic and he consistently gets 19 to 21 mph.

It's my "Toy" and I don't drive it much. Waiting for all the after market vendors to mature their products. Once that happens I'll decide what I want to buy for it and intergrate...
Hi
I'd like to disable the daytime running lights on my FJ. I know someone addressed this in "some forum" but I can't remeber which formum?
Can anyone help me out so I can disable my DRL?
Thanks
Chuck
Boxscore,
I reside in the Anetope Valley. There is a whole lot of desert out here and that needs to be explored. I can drive 20 minutes and I have nothing but desert and hills that I can test the FJ on.
