Thanks, @duncanrm . I should update my photo, I've gotten things a bit cleaner since this one was taken. But back to the problem, the water pump looks to be new. It's shiny black, and must have been changed just before I purchased the donor truck. I'll do the wiggle test and report back. The...
Thanks for the replies. The rad cap, and the rad itself are brand new Toyota. All the clamps are stainless ABA clamps, and I have checked them for tightness, but I will check again. All my hoses and clamps are pretty much new since I did a 2H swap. There's probably less than 200 miles since the...
Hey mud peeps. I'm having a problem with my HJ60 wherein it burps some coolant on the ground after it has cooled down. I ran it up to temp yesterday, then pulled it into the garage. I watched it steadily for over a half hour, and then checked again after about an hour. Nothing on the floor...
Or if someone would be willing to place an order for me I would be grateful. For whatever reason they won't ship to Canada, or at least I think that's why.
Well that is fantastic, and encouraging. Thanks for correcting me. I have an order in with them now, so I'll post up whether it gets cancelled, or I actually receive the parts.
I think I tried to order the Amayama one a while back (04445-60020) and they came back to say they couldn't complete the order. What is the next best option? Order something from RockAuto and then get the missing or incorrect seals from the dealer? I think Cruiser Outfitters has a kit, but it's...
The file has a left side panel, right side panel, and a tailgate panel. Plus a side panels that have been cut if you were to use a 62 rear seat belt finish panel. With 2 versions for fasteners.
If you don't find what you need you can modify them.
Definitely use at your own peril. One could always run a test piece on scrap to see how things fit. But the intention here is a really good starting point. I only have my truck as reference, and they fit for me. But on your truck, I don't know....
That little bump exists on my original panels. I copied them exactly, and that bump is there. It looks deliberate, but I'm not sure of the function. I also have a set of panels from another truck and same thing, the bump is there. If you don't want it, it should be easy to delete, or I can...
Only the later ('85+) trucks had that notch for the jack access. Earlier trucks had the jack and tools under the drivers' seat so the cargo panels were flat/straight on both sides.
Are the carpet kits different for early/later trucks? Is that an option when ordering?
Front valence from an '84 FJ60. With headlight washer holes. No rust, but poor paint. Local pickup only for now, it's pretty large so I would rather not ship.
$125USD/$160CAD.
It’s easy to dispense advice to others, especially when it’s about the hard and sometimes costly work to do things properly. But right now you have 30+ year old functioning engine. And unless it’s already been rebuilt/resealed, it’s probably overdue. Might as well get after it. Tear it down...
