Hey all,
I have a case of the wobbles while braking and have a steady click in my front end that is noticeable while accelerating between 1k and 2k RPMs. I no longer hear it after that. Based on my research I am guessing wheel bearing, ball joint, or a brake issue. (100 Series)
I generally...
Sorry I didn't take any pics. If you look on the back side of your transfer case you will see the 2 switches on the top. The low switch is the one that is angled at almost 90 degrees toward the passenger side
Not sure what year your 100 is, but apparently CDL only auto engages on 98-99 100's...
So I cracked the code! Took out the 4 Low switch and cleaned it up. Reinstalled, put it in 4 low and boom! CDL automatically engaged. Then I hit the RDL switch and RDL along with ABS lights went solid almost immediately.
The low switch must have been gummed up. Glad it ended up being an easy...
Another center diff lock thread i know, but I haven't been able to find anything about this particular problem.
I have a 1999 100 with factory rear elocker. This all started with the inability to engage my rear locker when I put it in 4 low. After reading a few CDL threads I remembered that...
Just re-booted my drivers side CV and this thread was a lifesaver!
I did learn a couple of lessons, definitely replace the diff seal. Especially if your vehicle is almost 20 years old. Installed the CV with the old seal and it leaked gear oil.
I bought a new seal, put it in, and fluid was...
After much anticipation, I got my rack in today. Expo ++ with light bar drop down and half mesh. It looked great..... until midway through the installation my wife noticed a pretty big bend in the light drop down that must have happened while shipping. Such a bummer.
I have an email to Tim on...
Well after a long discussion with my wife, we (she) have decided to stick with the 100 for now. I have a problem with falling in love with vehicles before fully getting the clearance from the boss.
Someday I will fulfill the itch for a diesel LC, just not now.
On that note, there is a nice...

I am strongly considering getting a hdj81 and getting rid of my 100.
I have always wanted a diesel LC and have a bead on one with about the same miles as my 100.
I posted up in the 80 section and of course everyone says to do it.
Just thought I would ask the same in the 100 section to get...
I am looking at a HDJ81 with the possibility of getting it and selling my 100 series.
I have always wanted a diesel LC, and this one has the same mileage on it as my 100, and appears to be really good shape with the 1HD-T motor.
I currently use my 100 for overlanding type trips that consist...
Oh yeah, I am on CL daily searching for something I can't live without. Don't think I plan on venturing out of the Northwest for my search anymore unless I can have somebody I trust check it out that lives nearby. Traveling for nothing ain't cheap!
Until then I will keep enjoying my 100 series...
Well, sad to say it didn't happen. I am on an airplane flying home. The cruiser was in rougher shape than anticipated and there were just too many issues for me to pull the trigger. I wasn't confident that it would make the drive home.
The search continues........
I know the front bumper is made by 4+, I am not 100% sure on the rear. I will get back to you on that.
The brackets are custom made to hang a hammock. It comes with an ARB awning. Perfect camping setup for when I am alone.
Love
Love Moab! Been there in my 100 a couple times.
We have to get home in a hurry this trip, but I will definitely be taking the 60 there as soon as possible.
