For Sale  FJ 62 exhaust downpipes, nuts and gaskets (Baton Rouge, LA)

I sold my FJ62, so I have no need for the downpipes that I purchased awhile back. These are the pipes that connect to the headers and include mounting locations for O2 sensors. I also have OEM gaskets and locknuts that are included in the sale. The pipes are in good shape, except for one...

SOLD 1988 FJ62 For Sale in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Thanks! Yeah, makes no sense to me, especially if you're going through the expense of replacing the seat foam and everything. Why not go back with new OEM-style fabric?

SOLD 1988 FJ62 For Sale in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

No, it has not sold. I haven't even listed it locally, yet. Here are a couple undercarriage photos that I took on my way out the door this morning. Sorry for the extremely slow response. I just closed on an investment property, and it is taking up all of my time outside of work. As you can...

SOLD  1988 FJ62 For Sale in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I am selling my 1988 FJ62. The truck has 179,XXX miles on it, and it has been my daily driver until I got a new job that equites travel across the state, which is the reason for sale... Overall, she’s in pretty good shape: PO performed extensive body and paint work to repair/replace rusted...

    Gladys' Build Thread

So, I got word from the auto electric shop that my alternator is completely fried... while I'm waiting on the replacement alternator and for my other parts to come in, I decided to go ahead and tackle the knuckle rebuild. Judging by the birf soup coming out after pulling just the cap assembly...

    Gladys' Build Thread

Alternator went out, so I took the "opportunity" to split the shroud to get better access and now I'm going to change out my water pump and fan clutch. I'm also going to replace some hoses and fix some wiring connections here and there while I have access and I'm still waiting on the...

    Another Stupid Tire Size Thread

I'd say a combination of the two. It's barely rubbing on the very edge of the tire shoulder, so I'd likely be okay with a skinnier tire unless my suspension was fully flexed.

    Another Stupid Tire Size Thread

I can't really speak to the gearing, but 33's may be a little tight. I just put 33x12.50s on mine that has a small (2-3") lift, and I am getting a little bit of rubbing on my exhaust pipe when cornering. In my opinion, the 31's fill out your wheel arches nicely. Maybe save the $$$ you'd...

    3fe exhaust manifolds custom exhaust

Are you referring to the downpipes that the O2 sensors go into? Those have been discontinued, but I was able to find a used set pretty easily, though. If you're just needing flanges, I wonder if the FJ80 flanges are the same. I'm sure the pipe routing is different, but the flanges may be...

    Gladys' Build Thread

So my old tires were on the verge of becoming dangerous, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on some 33x12.50 BFGs and some Eagle Alloy 15s. I'm definitely happy with how it turned out. The driver rear tire rubs a little on the exhaust when taking fast right turns over bumps, so I am...

    TPS Screw Size?

Does anyone know the size of the screws that attach the TPS to the throttle body? I've seen that some folks are swapping to allen head bolts, which sounds like a good idea to me. My sensor tested bad the other day, and the screws are in bad shape. I did not want to remove them until I have...

    Daily driver?

Yep, @gregnash, the bare bones, "old truck" feel is exactly what I was looking for and what I got with mine. I have zero regrets.

Fuel Injector Opinions Rebuilt OEM vs Having Mine Cleaned/Rebuilt

Yeah, they're who I will probably look at sending them to. I've heard good things about them. Initially I was concerned with the downtime required to send the injectors to them. This issue goes away if I pick up a good used set.
