Me either - what im wondering is if there is a reason not to? If I was to buy a folding bench seat for the back, why not face it backwards so you access it from the rear? Wondering if its unsafe or just not what most people want.
What are the pros and cons of having a rear facing back seat? Is it safe?
My Cruiser came with some super rusty, hacked up jump seats that I started fixing, but am abondoning at this point. The PO cut a chunck out of the back rest to fit around the roll bar, which I was going to repair but...
Problem solved! I was able to get the windshield to tilt back further. I loosed all the windshield mounting hardware and latches, got the window at the angle that I wanted, and after slightly opening up the holes on the windshield hinges was able to get it all back together and latched at the...
It definitely seems like a lot of small things combined. Looking at pics online, I also think the main issue is the windshield is not leaning back as far as it should. I'm going to start there, and adjust the doors as much as I can also.
The gaps around the door are not all consistent but it's...
So I did some measuring. The passenger side door opening is the same width from top to bottom. The driver side is about 3/8" wider at the top compared to the bottom. That said, I put the top half of the door on the passenger side door for comparison, at it still has a similar gap - though it is...
My doors are definitely the same as the door you have pictured for your 65. Mine does have the bug catcher vents but you can't see that in the pics. Thanks for the pics, really helps to see the differences!
I really don't know how to tell if it is all original. The person I bought it from had all the body work done and gave me the unassembled door parts. I guess my question would be, what would be the difference between the years that would cause the upper door fitment issues? Was there a different...
Im wondering if the windshield needs to be tilted back? I don't recall there being any more adjustment in the hinges when I assembled things, but thats the only thing I can think of. ???
Its been a year since I have done much work to the cruiser - this summer I thought I would put on a soft top and finally assemble and install the hard doors.
When I bought the cruiser it was a partially done project, so I've had the door parts from the pervious owner sitting around since last...
Over the past weeks I put in new fuel injectors as well as cleaning and regasketing the throttle body. That was about $150 and in reality it looked like the only issue with the old injectors was the o-rings - however, it looked all orginal so for the money and a couple hours I am happy to have...
This is the route I'm going, except via Amazon. It doesn't run terrible now but I'm interested to see what improvement, if any, I get with new injectors and a rebuild :)
On another note I ordered the VSS from JTR and just need to source a cable extension for the install - those extension...
Received my heated 3 wire o2 sensor and wiring harness today as well as the o-rings to fix my leak at the speedo output. Also ordered a new speedo cable for future use. Interesting that the AC Delco o2 sensor is made in Japan!
Installed the heated o2 sensor, didn't seem to make the difference...
