For Sale: 2000 Land Cruiser with engine issues:(

Posted this in the general classified section without much luck (other then $250 offers). Wondering if anyone local wants either a parts rig or a project with a lot of stuff already done to it. Looks like the head work the previous owner did is rearing its ugly head again and I already purchased...

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

This IS the internet, I'd be upset if no one did!

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

While I agree with the majority of your diagnosis, the dash and usual 250k stuff are solid, and the paint in in pretty good condition minus the mirrors and door handles. There’s another shop in town that does mostly cruisers that I may take it to. That or sell it as a parts rig… Thanks for the...

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

It got moved by the admin, I’d like to get around $10k for it but am open to offers. It’s still at the shop so I haven’t had a chance to talk to the mech yet after trying a bunch of less expensive options. If I can’t get close to $10k then I think I’d rather keep it.

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

I agree, I was already planning on offloading the rig as I’m buying a 200 series! Just bad timing for the issue to show up…

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

I believe compression was low on cylinder 1 but within tolerances. I’ll ask the mech when I pick it up. I’d assume warm it is fine as there are no issues when warm.

For the tires? Ha ha, for that amount I'll keep it at the cabin and run it till it dies!

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

Runs fine when warmed up, only has issue when starting cold.

For Sale 2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

It's mainly cylinder 1 but will randomly show 3 and 7 as well. All plugs and coils are new and injectors in those cylinders were replaced in the last couple weeks while chasing the issue down.

For Sale  2000 LC with cylinder misfire $5k

I have a 2000 LC with 230k ish miles. I have replaced a ton of parts most listed below with oem, and I'm in the process of purchasing a newer 200 series. I've lost the drive to chase this last misfire issue and want to pass this project (any cruiser this old is a project) on to someone else...

    Shock Rebuilding / Vehicle Downtime

Called Slee today and they said ARB will only do in house rebuilds of these. Called ARB and it's a 2 month turnaround but the rebuild is free. Don't know if he meant while under warranty or not but that's what he said.

Wasn’t there someone in the club that did car and truck vinyl wraps? One of the guys at my company wants to wrap his Tesla.

    Headers

No chemicals at all, super easy job. I think there are a couple write ups but it’s pretty easy and self explanatory.

    Headers

Coils and plugs (all denso) were done about 1k ago. Hand tightened (tight), but I'll check that. If still tight I'll order the new OEM exhaust manifold. My local mech said the aftermarket headers don't do a lot and I'd be better off replacing oem manifold and doing a cat back system for better...
