    Toyo OpenCountry AT3 Experience?

Under bullet point 2 is the most likely experience i had. All the evidence points to it. However my dot numbers supposedly aren't under this recall so thats why im here stating my experience. It is easy to feel bias towards something you like and have possibly invested in. But i have a bad taste...

    Toyo OpenCountry AT3 Experience?

The p tires showed recommended for me on all the sites. I dont tow or haul anything heavy with the t-100. I use my 100series with e rated ko2's for towing when needed. If i was going to haul heavy loads regularly id certainly have chosen LT tires. The tire pressures in the tires are 35 all the...

    Toyo OpenCountry AT3 Experience?

I have a recent bad experience with the open country at3's. I put a set on my 1998 Toyota t100 4wd in October 2023. Its my commuter daily and i drive 75 miles a day of paved commute to work daily with it. I also took these tires on a 1600 mile roadtrip for work as well. Yesterday i had a...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Bought my land cruiser (Thundertruck) a sibling. Meet Marshmellow. 273k mile 4x4 5speed t100. Now ill have a backup truck for dirty jobs and will also be able to commute when i work on one or the other. Planning on doing upper/lower ball joints and tre's, then a suspension refresh on the...

Blown Engine in my '02 LX470 - Now What?

If your going all out... Steering rack? Youd be kicking yourself for not doing it if it starts to leak in the next 100k miles. Id buy a hooptie to drive in while i slowly acquire all the preventative maintenance items i want to refresh while im in there

    Fender removal

Life saver for me too. Reasons why im curious to keep it relevant. I notice a creaking/popping sound when at a stop, then creeping forward, then stopping again (every time). Noise can be heard and maybe even felt behind my dead-pedal. I noticed that this has to do with slight up/down motion...

'03 LC Hit by Drunk Driver. Think it's totaled?

After reading i googled and found that victims of loss of property due to drink drivers cannot sue typically unless related to injury. It doesnt change my sentiments though. Someone got drunk (enough to have slurred speech as noted), and as a result- his irresponsibility and arrestable mistake...

'03 LC Hit by Drunk Driver. Think it's totaled?

Whole parts truck for less than the cost of the power brake booster/master cylinder assembly. Id call that a steal.

'03 LC Hit by Drunk Driver. Think it's totaled?

Sue the driver for the total cost of the land cruiser plus all the legal fees and time/money lost due to this ordeal. It wasnt a mere accident. Driving drunk is a felony. He made the choice to drive impaired putting everyone on the road at risk. Intentionally. You suffered loss due to his felony.

New dissent offroad no cut rear bumper!

Im a aircraft maintainer (military 2a676), and owner of this bumper as well. I just torqued all my bolts extra tight (without damaging the threads) and i feel that it shouldnt break loose... Maybe hitting the bolts with a torque wrench every 2-5 years would ease the rattle-loose concerns. At...

New wheel bearings packed with mobil1 synthetic grease , front dba brake disks, centric rear disks, new oem pads all around. Snap ring gap was nice and tight and hub flanges were healthy too. Rig has 190k and im almost sure that everything is original. I have some peice of mind knowing that the...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I bet i am suppost to have the outer bearing 180° from the way it is or something. Pg sa-11 on the fsm is definitely clear on the inner bearing. But for dummys like me, convoluted in the attached picture. Idk. Ill figure it out when the new bearings arrive and after reviewing some homework from...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

i JUST disassembled the other side before reinstalling the bearings to ensure i didnt flip them 180° and make sure my rear seal was correctly orientated. I know i did something wrong but cant put my finger on it. Reguardless--new bearings for me should last another 200k. And learning as i go...

    My 01 LC Build "Weeblewobble"

Are you selling the t4r or is this a daily to run the miles up on to instead of running the miles up on the t4r? Reguardless, congrats. A land cruiser is timeless. Maintain it and hold onto it. It'll appreciate both financially and sentimentally.
