How about the hardware on the windshield that has the clamping mechanism that attaches to the dash. I see the 3 bolt pattern hasps attached to the windshield frame. In the older photos I see the clamps that mount to the dash.
I'd prefer the one directly beneath the gage cluster in the photo. I think it is the right one.
I have an odd duck of a cruiser. I think I have a pre 1965 +\- windshield on a 1970.

Do you recognize your handiwork on the carb? :). You rebuilt this one a few weeks ago.
Agree on the vsv issue. Question. I am still running a stock vacuum retard distributor for now. I know I should switch to vacuum advance. I'll do that later.
Where should I hook the vacuum...
Need some help figuring our how the stock VSV gets put together on a 1970. My intake manifold may be from a 71 or later. The rest of the truck is mainly a 1970. I'm not sure if the intake manifold came from an fj40 with a brake booster.
I bought this as a partially restored fj40. Someone did the body work, engine, tranny, transfercase and axels. It is a 1970 near as I can tell by vin number, but it does have some oddities.
The windshield frame is an older model. It's kinda a nice add, so I'm just leaving it as is. Not sure...
I had the old light buckets replated in yellow zinc. They look new now. The plastic inserts were shot and I replaced them with 6mm Riv-nuts. That worked very well.
