[SOLVED] '91 Intermittent lack of power

Turned out it was my pre-filter on my fuel pump... After removing and replacing the pump and sock with a new unit, the original pump tested good so I have a spare and have bought a new sock for it. Hopefully I'll know where it is in another 420+k miles when I need it.

    69005-6A260 late key/cylinder set in early FJ80?

Looks like they all have the p/n listed 8n my title but not the original set for my '91. Amayama says that the new set SHOULD fit.

    69005-6A260 late key/cylinder set in early FJ80?

Right on. Yeah the keys are completely different as you said. I'm curious if the ignition cylinder from a later 80 works in an early 80. As far as something parted out, I'm in Mexico. I've seen 2 other 80s here and one had TX plates so not likely to find. I appreciate the thoughts.

    69005-6A260 late key/cylinder set in early FJ80?

The original key/cylinder/locksets for '91-'92 FJ80s are NLA as far as I can see. Does anyone know if the complete key/cylinder/lockset, Toyota p/n 69005-6A260, for later FZJ80s can be used in the early ('91-'92) FJ80s? After my recent break-in and theft attempt, my door locks and ignition...

Thoughts on adding a diff locker switch as an engine immobiliser?

Do you (or anyone else) have more info (i.e. schematics or a walk through) on how one would do this on a 91 with a 3fe? It's an elegant solution IMO.

Hey @adiosambrose Hit me in pm. I can make a quick video on how to do it and share you a link or we can hit a video call and I can walk you through it. It's not too tough. Easier than you have above. In the mean time I'll look for a video. Us 3fe guys need to help each other out. Also...

    Noob with a 91 3FE

Looks like a good project. Our 3FEs get a little hate on here but I love mine. Had it for 8 years(?) and now with more than 400k miles on the clock. Maintenance is key to longevity.
