Yeah, I guess. Just glad that the brake lights don't go through that wiring. I just cut the wiring behind the fender and below the jack access area. Got the wiring harness and mounting hardware on order.
Thanks for the info. Wish I still had my '71 FJ 40 in my pic!
The one in my rig doesn't have the control box. But I guess it won't hurt. They have a nice couple of angle plates to mount the 4-prong thing to as well.
Thanks!
Round 3. The harness goes up through the drivers side fender where the jack is. And apparently goes up to the brake light on the tail gate. If i cut that, I'm not sure how to pick up that brake light. If not the other brake lights. The other lights/blinkers are working.
Hmmm. Brake lights all...
Derp. Just looked it up and found where the harness connects. It's above the muffler on the passenger side.
next qyestion. Where can I find one? Tekshona has one, but it is for 2001 and up. I'd think it's the same. It looks the same, but I don't want to waste the time if it isn't.
Hi, all. The wiring harness for the trailer hitch on my 1999 LC has bit the dust. the posts corroded and the wiring is shot.
Does anyone know how to get to the harness to replace it? Is it inside the car somewhere? All I see is it running into the rear driver's side fender.
I don't really...
Well, it's just the gas gauge. The temp gauge is working it turns out. I'm just wondering where it comes out of the firewall. I wouldn't think it would be there, but I'd think it was somewhere around the water supply tube for the washer as they chewed that up as well, but I don't see anything.
In a matter of a couple days, a squirrel got into my engine bay and ate the sound deadening material on the hood and firewall, and more importantly ate the wriring to my gas and temp gauge.s Having trouble finding any of the missing wiring. Anyone know the colors of the wires to look for and...
I guess I'm the only one that didn't have to replace the fuse box for this issue. Odd that I'm the only one that had the signal amplifier go out on the jgnition assembly. $120 fix. Sure glad I didn;t replace the fuse box first.
Funny, searched this thread because my tailgate wouldn't unlock. All other doors were unlocking fine. Packed full of stuff, I had to unload everything through the back doors to even think about getting to the panel to check for anything. By the time I got everything out, I saw that the TV i put...
Yeah, I really didn't want to replace the fuse box because for all the problems, it didn't seem like that fuses and wiring were the issue. I did all the tricks of replacing the fuses, using bigger fuses, and using paper clips didn't do anything.
Waaay after the fact here, but I had this issue with my '99. The flashing car (security) light would blink and it wouldn't start. I got a new key, and it worked for 2 days, then it wouldn't start again. Punching the ignition (key out, ot course) did work a couple times when I was stranded. My...
Anyone else need the rear wing hardware? JT seems to have flown the coop. I have the screws and the angle brackets that attach the car to the deflector.
Yeah, I will ping you when I get the parts myself. Should be Friday. I have the brackets, the screws that hold the brackets to the deflector, and the screws that hold the brackets to the rear hatch.
And yes, I had 4-5 posts disappear yesterday/.
Someone here was looking for the hardware for a 100 series rear wind deflector yesterday. But all the posts seem to have vanished.
Once I get my deflector from vegas I can send them to you.
After scanning this site, I;ve seen a lot of P0300 codes, but usually a bunch of other codes that follow along. I was driving yesterday, and the motor just started running like it dropped a cylinder. Checked the code and saw P0300 and nothing else. I have 155K on this LC. Most of these seem to...
