Ok I snapped the front springs on my 89 HJ61. There's 6 leafs on my pack, my repair manual says there's 5 and the Toyo site lists part #'s for 7. WTF?:bang:

Only your transfer shifter buzzes when it's cold, I don't have enough hands to silence the buzzing. Mine seems much better after a fluid switch. Envy your warm -21 today  my rhd friend
OK -41 C this morning and sick of gettin up every 4 hours to start the cruiser. Anyone running either one of these brands of coolant heaters in their deisel? both have 24 volt versions but does anyone know the price/quality difference.

Ya I have noticed a lack of heat but thought it was just the outside temp. She never got real warm at below -30 temps but if there's a noticable diff when it gets into the -20's I'll have to put a new belt on.
Hey guys, lost the AC belt on my 89 HJ61 last night. Is there any cons to running without it ( it's -34 today don't think I need AC ) Never gets hot enough for AC in Yellowknife so is it worth taking the compressor out ? That belt doesn't run anything else I'm not seeing does it?
Hey all. My running lights, gauge lights and rear LH brake light all quit at the same time. It's an 89 HJ61 and my manual is in Japanese so figureing out what fuse does what is a little tough. Checked the #18 fuse for gauges and its fine but before I start pulling all of them thought someone...
It must be common, I have an 89, same tranny, even the same paint job, same problem. Does it do it often enough to need fixin? When I was in 5th everyday it only happened a couple times a month. I haven't been past 4th in a year so don't know if it's getting worst.(kinda miss 5th)
Well I don't feel as bad about my problem now. Hope the rest of the trip back to B.C isn't as much fun as It has been;) It'll be a hell of a story/truck when it's sitting in your driveway though.
All right Tow it is! Thanks for getting the " It's the cruiser, It'll be fine" out of the equation. It's not that it has to do it this time. Thanks for the input.
It's just the belt that's gone. The overnight lows are still about -15C so I'm not worried about overheating If I do it early morning. It's more what will be effected with no vacuum. I know my brakes will be stiff but she's a 5 speed and it's a flat slow drive. What solinoid problems might pop up?
