I've only driven around my neighborhood, probably a total of 10 miles so far. I have a weekend trip and I'll try to calculate it, but I suspect it's 1mpg or less given the other data that is out there with weight/size. These SL are considerably lighter than the LT tires they released.
Price is a little high. I'd be in on that truck for like $20-21k at most.
If the mechanical maintenance is up to date, my first order of business would be all suspension-related bushings, they are going to be shot with that age, mileage, and heavy large tires (depending on how long they have...
My truck is basically just my dog's truck. So I borrowed a design from an old post here and made a K9 platform for the second row (with some tweaks), and did have to run a strip of carpet tacks along the edge to secure the thin strip that kept peeling off since this photo. A major upgrade from...
I'm not offended, and I do agree. I think some folks though read this thread and get the idea that they must get larger tires in order to make their trucks look good and go off road and have fun. So for the folks that don't want that, it's also important to highlight the closer-to-factory...
According to who? An upgrade doesn't have to translate into putting the biggest and widest tire under you truck. That sounds like something someone with a 4Runner or a Tacoma would say. For most people they come with far more drawbacks than benefits, if we're being honest.

Not the best photos but here are the 275/65/18 SL Wildpeak AT4W. I do also have the front spring spacers installed. Initial impressions - smoother ride than the Michelin LTX AT/2 of the same size and also quieter, surprisingly. Can not comment on MPGs yet, have only driven around my own...
I just ordered up some 275/65/18 SL Wildpeak AT4Ws today. Decided to play it safe with something just slightly larger than stock but a more aggressive tread. I currently have have LTX AT2 in the same size, I just don’t like the look of them and they’re not great in snowy/slushy conditions. I...
As the title states, looking for the aforementioned part. Figured I would throw this out there for a few days before I just order one from Toyota.
Thank you!
I feel like an idiot having to revive this 2 year old thread, but the Yakima accessories are completely overwhelming... What item(s) do I need to mount the round crossbars to my factor LC200 rails? I need the 78" bars to haul 2 canoes. I used 2x4s and some janky clamps on my 100, but I'm...
Nice! Glad to see it went to a good home! Maybe they couldn't sell it because everyone just assumed something was wrong with it. I lowered my budget quite a bit and ended up going with a clean 2013 that I found in TX. I flew down there last Friday and drove it home.
Seems fair. I am about to seal the deal on a 2013 LC with 153k miles (from the South) for $35k, considering LXs generally draw a lower sale price, and this being a year newer with less miles... $33k seems fair because I feel what I am paying is fair. Get a PPI though, or tell him $33k and he...
Yeah I already got the story on that. Owner had a government job and shipped it out there because he was working in Europe for 2 years and they paid for it both ways. I may try to negotiate a lower price on that but dealer didn't seem like the type of folks that really budge.
It's slim pickings out there though for trucks that age that aren't pretty rough or rusty it seems. I've seen this red 08 on here, it is indeed a good price.
My gut tells me this is too much money to pay for a 2009 but this truck is really clean in and out, owner of the dealer showed me a small pea size dent above driver door and that's about all that I can see wrong with it other than maybe a cracked windshield. Wasn't mentioned when I spoke to them...
Sounds like a major PITA. I'd likely just cut that side out completely before I dropped the tank. I haven't bought the truck yet though so I'm hoping a better option comes up. 200 shopping isn't great right now :-(
Well I feel like an idiot, I thought for sure it was something else. I ask because I'm looking at a truck and one side has the sheathing all mangled up and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a wheelspeed sensor.
I've never been under a 200 series, curious what this line is? It runs on the outside of the frame on either side and into the hub. Wheelspeed/ABS sensor? I assume not parking brake?
