Missed the part about VC replacement. Agree put a long screwdriver or stethoscope and see which side then pull VC. It's not that hard, especially since it was just done. Pray no damage was done if something was left in there.
No serpentine on check is quick and easy also.
Dropped at shipper. Estimated departure end of May . ETA to Houston early August. Praying all goes to plan and it clears customs easily. Will report back when it arrives and how the process went. Thanks to John Young for the shipper recommendation.
Already have a daily and no place to put this one back in US. It was my daily /project build while workng in Dubai last 5 years.
Not sure what I'll ask foe it yet. Likely have 40+k in it but not expecting close to that haha
Will post up full specs and ask for help pricing it once it's in US...
Getting all cleaned up for long boat ride to the US. Wish me luck I can get in home and all customs cleared etc. Sadly will also be for sale soon after arrival but looking forward to passing 4 year build along.
More pics coming!
Sounds like a sweet build. Any timeline on when you will get to do a first start.
Mine is about to go in a container to ship back to US so I'm living through everyone else's builds for awhile haha.
Maybe a little lean also? Wouldn't hurt to check vacuum pressure and for any small leaks? Lean will have it run hot, feel sluggish at part throttle and I believe causes high nox. Just a guess really. Always good to double check all the old vac lines with the maintenance already done.
Now that performance stuff is done. Switching back to the small things. New splash guards. Soon will get full paint correction and detailing along with stock wheels refurbished and new front bumper cover and paint. @Bardiya always the go to for parts!
Custom stainless long tube by Bullet Performance. 3" down pipes to large free flow muffler then 3" to stock resonator. Sounds like any stock V8 at idle and cruise speed with stock resonator. Over 3500 rpm it sounds like above. In cab it's not loud at all. I had 3" high flow res before and it was...
Just a guess from me but I would run regular octane fuel and stop the additives. Clean maf.
Let it run a full tank without all the additives . Take a with a few hour long highway drives. OD off to keep rpms up to burn off anything in cats. A few hard pulls through the gears. Retest.
Luckily I don't drive as crazy as the build is. Daily driving isn't bad at all since still on stock size tires and manual trans. Using full boost .... yea it's bad 🤣
This thread has most of the performance upgrades. The one below is from the very start of the project.
