Found this on top of my cabin air filter. this is new to me car and I just started going though all of the basics.
this was on top of air filter when I removed it. air filter itself was dirty as it gets.
Im concern that its some type of rotten nest.
But this thing is very clean, uniformed and...
just had new wheels and tired put on. decided to go with new set of TPMS sensors.
used these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NQ05U24?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details and they worked.
shop had issue reading them, they used Autel tool, when tried using 2013 LX570 it didn't work.

I like to have a second set of 5 wheels and was going to go TMPS sensor cloning route for this purpose.
Second set will be 18" Tundra TRD wheels.
So far been looking at Autel or Launch sensors.
They both offer metal and aluminum constructions.
What type do I need for TRD wheels?
Also is...
I have stock 2013 and did alignment when I got it two years ago. Experiencing same issue. It’s worse on drivers side. Trying to find alignment sheet to provide numbers.
I did apply epoxy but can’t say it’s a good strategy. You won’t know how this crack develops under it. When I replaced mine I cut off peace with crack and it showed that crack develops on outside.
Driveshaft needs to be lubricated. Had same issue when I got mine. Previous owner never done anything to it. Services by Lexus in the past but apparently by not a good one.
Also suggest replacing AHC fluid if you hit 60k. Records indicated it was done and there is no way that’s what come out...
All of this happen before I replaced battery. New battery was installed only few hours ago. Everything seems to be working as it should so far.
I just hope it’s not an alternator. That’s why I wasn’t sure if my alternator voltage wasn’t to low
It was low cranking power. Now that you mentioned I do remember checking how secure the terminals were and I heard electric clicking noise like from the relay.
All issues happen before I replaced battery. Cleaned terminals as well. Will have to check the ground cable termination.
thanks for...
Need an advise.
On my road trip I had to help a friend and jump start his car. After getting his car started I tried to start mine but failed.
So we attached jumper cable again and got my car up and running.
this morning, week after our 1400 miles trip, car started fine but I decided to...
I have tan interior, we use it and abuse it. Kids walk from 3rd row to front, but it always cleans up. My only issue at this point is crack on cup holder cover on driver side. one of the kids stepped on it. No big deal, we bought it with purpose to have an adventure mobile.
So far kids love it.
Can only tell you from my experience.
Number 1 major issue is radiator, if you have a crack you will have to replace it. I waited almost 10K miles with small hair line crack and apoxy patch.
Number 2: AHC fluid flush. It’s one thing that not very common and most lexus techs don’t know how to do...
Still within operating temperatures. I used OBD scanner to track temperature after repair it hovered around 182F.
If you reach 200F its way to high. Something must be very wrong with cooling system at this point.
To add more details to this.
This is the patch I used Versachem 90214 Plastic Tank and Radiator Repair Kit - 30 Grams
I did follow instructions and used provided sanding paper to prep the area. Applied first layer of epoxy put fiberglass on top and covered the whole area with second layer of...
Im by no means suggesting not to replace radiator and use epoxy patches. my driving was very light. Few times went on offroad trails but comparing to other guys here you can hardly call this offroading. Just sharing my experience since I didn't have spare 600$ to do radiator replacement right...
