Painting LX450 flares and molding black? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone ever done this or have pictures of it? I have a Champagne Pearl (1B1) LX450 that I need to color match one fender. I thought possibly I could just paint all the molding black including the flares instead. That way if it gets damaged or needs a fresh up, black is easy to match with a rattle can. I want to keep the fender flares and the body molding so flare less isn't an option.

Any thoughts or pictures? Thanks!

Monochrome is so Miami Vice 80s. Run with it, make that luxo-Cruiser, a LAND CRUISER. Pic request when all is said and done. I am thinking that finish that is similar to flat, but not really flat.

why not pasti dip it a darker gun metal color and if you ever want to go back, it is very easily reversible
