Only after 2k kms oil is so black! No oil consumption. (1 Viewer)

hi all. My oil gets so black in only 2k kms. The engine is very powerful and does not consume oil... Any advice why the oil gets so black so soon? My other Diesel engined vehicles don't get their oils this black in a such a short distance. Apis this normal with it being a v8? My other vehicles are 4 cyl diesels....
I do notice there is this tapping sound like a loose hydraulic tappet that seems to come and go... Any relation to the black oil?

It's normal, of course - however, take some on your index and thumb from your dipstick....rub your index and thumb together and then dab off on a towell. Is there a dirty residue on your fingers? If so, its either because you are reaching high temperatures and cooking the oil (heat cycles) or there's wear in your valves, rings, etc...causing unburned fuel to get into the oil. If they are clean and your oil is just black - flush the engine using a flushing oil treatment - like bell or something to clean out the sludge and build-up.
