Just found the Highway, great idea!
Me: E4, USAF '90-'94. AF Communications Command - LGM out of Gunter AFB/Annex. Was a programmer and general tech geek getting my hands on anything I could while I was in. Did a couple of minor deployments supporting mobile maintenance systems (CAMS).
Had a built 2005 100 that was totaled, with me in it, a couple of months ago. Replaced with a 2011 200 series that I'm just getting started on.
Howdy folks! I just found this place. US Army active and Reserve from '68-94. I salute all you good people who found the time to give back to your country.
New to me 1967 FJ40. Only 20 years younger than me but in better shape <- me. I'm not much of a wrench but I don't mind getting dirty. Let me know if you find your way to SW New Mexico.
Welcome aboard Shipmate.I joined the navy in Aug.1966 and got out Feb 1970 as a BT3. Only got busted once. I was 3 years 9 months on the USS Stoddard DD 566 and the last three months on the USS Providence DLG. Before you thank me for my service I have to tell you I went kicking and screaming. I got my draft notice and went right to the navy recruiter thinking I would stay out of the fray. Just my luck I got wounded anyway. I got my first 4X4 in 1973. a 1970 FJ40. Have been around the block a few times in that rig. I have had a couple other 4X4's and sold them but just never felt like parting with the Toy.
