Well it's almost time for our annual meet and greet event again.
After talking with Kenny over the last few weeks the Monk's have offered up their barn again for the event. (It's the most central place we could come up with to try and promote a bigger attendance)
Those of you that came this weekend saw the barn and what it offers.
Sleeping arrangements, tons of room, wood fired stoves, full usable kitchen, huge fire pit, tons of room for rigs and tents.
Being so close to URE there should also be the ability to use the showers at the camp sites there. I believe you can pay for just a shower pass (i'll check on that)

Group dinner on Saturday night, plan for that to be unveiled soon.
Open to all members and non members that are interested in the club.
Anyone can camp or just come for Saturday (where we will be discussing the club and future rides as well as rolling out the new officers for 2012)

Post up if you are going to make it and for what amount of time so we can start the head count.

Total so far

Hey guys, seems like a lot of folks would like a shower when you camp in the freezing cold of Feb! :princess::princess::princess: I'm open to a portable or makeshift shower at the back left corner of the barn (outside) near the hot and cold water connections. If we can come up with a plan that we can assemble, then remove and maybe store in the back barn for future use, I am game. I have shower heads and pipe and hot and cold shower controls from parts for mobile homes. Al had mentioned this before we scheduled but didn't go over too well with some of the family. :flipoff2:em So what do you think?

Kenny

We're hopefully bringing the mobile Hilton again but I'm game to come down and help you put it all together.

Thanks Eric! Just trying to avoid people having to go to group camp; probably a
25 mile round trip. Now that I think about it, we have a hot and cold outside spigot
that we could run hoses to anywhere we would want to put it. I'm just fishing for
suggestions, but definitely doable!

I would be available to work it.
I do have a portable camp shower though but no enclosure for it.

Thanks Al, what do you think about something on the back side of the outhouse? We would then only need 3 sides with door, floor and roof. Throw a cheapo mobile home door on it since I have them with hinges and knob; and plenty of block to get floor off ground, for water to run-off. Have to make it tall enough for your big Yeti a$$! :flipoff2:

Kenny, I will bring a faucet for the kitchen sink when I come up next December. I'll have the cut offs and all conections to put it together, also. If we still need anything for a shower by then, I can do that too. All of the tools and most of the parts are riding around with me in the van.

I don't know about a shower right next to the out house :hhmm:

I was thinking the same thing Al! I do have plenty of hoses so it could go out in the woods, if need be.

And Dave, you didn't like our 1955 dual control, deluxe model spigot! ;p That would be great having a better one, but don't make it too nice, it might grow legs,
if you know what I mean. This is in Montgomery county! :hillbilly:

And Adam, damn, how many deer have you killed this year? You might have to take some back from up here to replenish the herd! ;)

I will have to ask Laura if she can go, but I will do my best to be there for the whole weekend:D
