Guys, with the improvements we have made in my organization it has left me little time to get involved in the project like I had initially planned on so after much thought I am going to consider selling the 79' FJ55.

Short and simple is this.
-1979 FJ55
-Factory PS, Factory A/C truck (A/C has since been removed)
-Rebuilt top end motor with 3FE exhaust manifolds and Stainless exhaust w/40 series flowmaster.
-H55 5 Speed/Toyota Split Transfer case currently installed.
-New alternator, voltage regulator, thermostat, water pump.
-Recored Radiator by North Raleigh Radiator

Here's the deal though, I don't NEED to sell this truck, and I have plenty of space at the farm to store it, I just don't really use it much. Jerry has riden in the truck and might speak for it's charactaristics with top end rebuild and H55. If there's not much interest in it at my price I will just keep the cover on it and store it in the barn. So whats the price, you might ask???

W/H55 installed as it sits-$3,700.

Again if someone can use it and is interested I'll sell it at those prices if not she'll go back in the barn.

Hope everyone's doing well.

Yep it runs and drives! Good luck with the sale Greg...hope it stays in the family.

So...it runs and drives, right?

That's what he tell you, that it runs and drives fine. But, I'd tell a different story...

Actually, it runs and drives amazing IMHO. I hope to get my 45 running as well.
Greg picked me up for a meeting with Brian and Allen, driving the backroads to Southpoint on the way out, on 40 on the way back. Not a worry cruising up to 70 mph with that H55 keeping the RPM's under 2k.

In all honesty, I hope he doesn't sell it so I can keep twisting his arm to part it out so I can put the H55 in my 45. If I didn't have so many projects on my doorstep, I'd make this thing into a sweet trail rig...

Greg, if I were you, I'd edit that to say "$2K w/o H55 and split case".

There's a guy selling a 2f, H55, and case for $2,500 firm. I'd say this price is very fair, as the truck drives amazing and just needs some TLC on the body. Fun vehicle, and as it sits, a SOA, hysteer, and some tires and you'd have a sweet trail rig! Hope to see it stay in the ONSC family!

So how much for just the body, frame, interior
and you can have the axles back after I put 1 tons under there. :grinpimp:

I'll second what Jerry posted above. I rode in the truck from Ramon's to Fred Anderson when we had the multiple 80's front axle HAMON. The truck rode exceptionally well (to my surprise :)) and I was also amazed that all (Greg can confirm) electronics worked, including the electronic rear hatch roll-down glass.

I also agree with Ramon that the price with the H55 is a very fair price considering what the H55's have been selling for on the MUD board (few and far b/w at that).

Sound to me like Brian and Al need to buy the truck together and part it amongst themselves. That would be problem solved - Brian gets the drivetrain he wants and Al gets the body/chassis.

Andrea already smacked me upside the head and vetoed the idea

That was the fantasy that was going through our heads.... If it wasn't for the fact that my bonus is being paid out in two weeks... That's when this whole insanity began 3 years ago...

Mine too....yet I'm the one paying and to good old uncle Sam.

Again Sounds like a heck of a price....it really needs beautification and a little off-road manner.....and brakes if I remember Joes near death experience. Other than you have a heck of a solid rig. Needs to stay in the ONSC.
