Vvti is def a 'better' factor for the later MYs but my personal opinion is the 5 speed vs 4 speed isn't much of a benefit/upgrade...this 4 speed is proven and super durable and the modest overall efficiency gains 03-07s enjoy are, I think, more due to vvti. As far as interior, I'd argue earlier...

entertaining thread! I sure wish I had 50+ hits on my ($16k) ad for a J100 that has *slightly* higher miles than this one but is at least as desirable and in tip-top shape!

Update...PLEASE READ! While I still love and highly recommend the Chilkat Designs cable kit for the front high-pinion 80-series locking axle, DO NOT USE it in the rear! In short, cables (like ropes) are great at pulling but suck at pushing. The kits are designed so that PUSHING the cable...

Moy at friends & family automotive in Canoga Park knows landcruiser pretty well and is a solid and very trustworthy guy. Andrew at Mayhem Metal Works in Simi valley is also someone I trust and knows landcruisers well.

im not shocked at all w/r to yotamasters declining this job. they really should call themselves as Taco/T4Rmasters because thats all they really know. Unfortunately I know this first hand after relying on them for a number of years and paying them many thousands of dollars.
