    Just changed BB fluid for 2nd time...after almost 2000 miles. 16ozs came out (same amount I put in, which means no migration through seals to tcase this time). Condition was pretty good actually. No burnt smell, and color was normal. Zero shavings on plug magnets either. Overall report = STOKED!

    Absolutely don't mind! Much appreciated in fact. My thermax sticker readings of <220d are not worrisome, but that temp is high enough to degrade oil (especially for long periods). Plus, they are on the outside of the case - and the oil itself on the inside is always going to be a little warmer...

    Georg's experience would overrule mine, but I am fairly sure that fuel tank relocation is necessary when installing a BB into a J80 cruiser, regardless of transmission (I actually first picked up my BB from @dirtyboots because he decided to change directions on his build for this very reason).
