    J100 4.2 Lost Power

Check the small black hose going to the MAP filter and MAP sensor at back of manifold. Make sure the filter isn't cracked either

    2000 LC 100 - Japanese head unit/AC/NAV replacement

Unfortunately so far the only way is to convert to a 3 knob climate control and then use aftermarket head unit, or do the wiring conversion for a 3 knob climate control and then go full Tesla style unit.

    ABS Issue

So when slowing down, it doesn't happen instantly or every time. Around I'd say 15-20mph you can hear a muffled bang bang bang and feel the shudder through the steering wheel. It's loud enough and apparent enough that my boy can hear it from the backseat. I always release the brake pedal when I...

    ABS Issue

Thanks once again for your very comprehensive reply! This was more a way to exclude one part of the system (out of frustration) that I could do quite quickly and easily. I agree that the old ones were probably still OK I wanted to disable the ABS system to understand whether it was in fact the...

    ABS Issue

@2001LC I've tried a few more things. Retightened both front wheel bearings, replaced rear ABS sensors (all have been changed now) and checked (unplugged and replugged) all abs ecu plugs I did the "Pump brake pedal rapidly. See how many pumps, until ABS alarms sound off and dash warning lights...

    ABS Issue

Thanks for your detailed replied. I've read quite a few of your threads which led me to bleeding the accumulator and looking at other possible faults. The vehicle has about 170000m on it. It is essentially the same as a HDJ100 and shares the same braking system as US delivered vehicles, electric...

    ABS Issue

Steering rack bushes were replaced a month ago It's a JDM model, IFS. Doesn't have VSC. I haven't managed to get Techstreamto connect to it. Well I did, but the techstream I used didn't have the HDJ100 as an option so was was very limited in the data it saw and there was nothing regarding ABS on it

    ABS Issue

Hey all, My 98 HDJ101K has recently developed a very unwanted ABS issue. When moderately braking from anywhere around 30 mph to a stop as in approaching an intersection, the ABS will activate when there has been no lock up of any wheels. It's intermittent and I'm struggling to find a distinct...

High km HDJ100 turbo making an air leak and swoosh sound like a blow off valve?

Check inlet manifold and exhaust manifold nuts are all tight and accounted for. Quite often have broken exhaust manifold studs. The slip join on the exhaust manifold often leaks as well, but not to a point which would make this sort of noise.

Mine is a 98 HDJ101 but those Torquepro codes work on the Australian HDJ100s as well. I dont know about the V8's, just thought it might be worth you trying. Techstream would be much better if you can get that up and running

They really don't like high or low voltages but generally bring up enough lights to let you know something's wrong. Once you've got a bit more seat time and get to used to where the gauges sit in normal driving you'll notice these things more readily What were you using to connect to the...

HD Automotive These guys have all the stuff you need. Can get Unichip pre-tuned to suit whatever mods you have as well, Unichip don't offer the software for tuning it yourself unfortunately, only dealers get access to it. You'll need a bigger intercooler as well, either the PDI that HD...

I'd have thought it would have O2 sensors being 1UZFE. I've also been wrong before :) Should have 4. 2 pre-catalytic convertors, and 2 post

I'd put a voltmeter on the battery and see what it's at, particularly when the fault is apparent. Showing 18 volts there and that's not good though it might be a symptom of your issue and not the actual problem. Usually strange dash lights is a sign of low volts/ alternator on the way out/...
