    I cut my bolts with a sawzall. You can then pick up the body a bit at a time after all of them are cut and pull them out.

    Have you considered propane injection? Many of the benefits of FI plus some. A plain Gen I smallblock with propane injection will run pretty much upside down (oiling issues aside), plus you get to claim to drive an alternative clean burning vehicle! :p
