I always wanted to polish this thing out when I was working on it for the original owner but he loved the original from Saudi look. I find it a bit dull so I'm giving this thing a deep polish to see if this 33 year old paint will do.
Washed...
Back to this thing.....
I am between major projects so I'm going to prep this 75 for sale.
Lockwood had the underside full of Florida so I got it up in the rack and got it back to Saudi clean
Your only solution with oem set is to be a true contractor. Before shipping this truck to you, I had the chance to load it with tiles or a project and dang this still has some little stiffness.
Jonathan already owned the tires and wheels from another project. Was I buying this combo new I would recommend using the 16” Smoothie Vintique or City Racer 16’s and 34x10.50-16 LTBs. I had to run a 1/8” slip on spacer to clear the tie rod end...
So……..neither of us liked the way the 285/75-17s and 3” wide big brakes looked on the 75 so ….
Off with their heads.
Back with the 70 brakes and no spacers and the comparable size SWAMPER LTB
34x10.50-15 on smoothie Vintique wheels.
The ARB compressor under the bed is a big exposed but we made a nice removable splash shield that should do the job nicely unless of course it gets totally submerged.
The next set of lockers I do on a FZJ7x truck will be Harrops.
Hood is getting painted next week so we went ahead and sprayed some hood anti-rattle foam. It’s a 3M automotive product, the grey stuff. The tan is OEM.
Yes we trimmed it back after spraying and curing.

We had the handles for the carriers cerakoted with a certain cerakote that is very slippery. Seems to be working well. I think we will just change the castle nut pins to cotter pins and call it done...
