Hey, I’m sorry for the delay, I’m not on here much anymore. I honestly don’t remember what I came up with since it’s been so long. I do know I haven’t had the issues anymore of codes setting. I had multiple codes and fixed those issues (O2 sensors) and never got a code 51 since. I think I do...
So a little update;
last night I just kinda messed with the fusible link and battery cables to make sure they were tight and had good connections. All seemed fine so I left it at that for last night. This morning on my way to work, my volt gauge acted normal and my lights never once flickered...
Also forgot to mention because I just remembered, when my low beams do go out, the high beam indicator illuminates. I guess that’s why I first thought it was a switch.
Thanks for pointing me in a few other testing directions y’all. I really didn’t want to replace a switch if not needed.
Also, this morning I noticed the volt gauge was acting a little funkier than normal. We all know how those gauges act under normal circumstances but today it seemed to not...
While driving at night or early morning while still dark, I’ll be driving with my low beams on and they’ll randomly decide to cut out. It’s just the headlights, all running lights stay on. If I run with my high beams the headlights don’t seem to go out. I’m using an educated guess here but I’m...
Sorry, should’ve been more clear on that. Yes, the rear defrost switch illuminates when I turn on the wiper switch, but I’ve only noticed it during rain, I don’t think temp or any other factor causes the issue.
The cargo lamp in my ‘89 FJ62 doesn’t come on when I open the hatch anymore. It used to periodically if I messed with the hatch but now it doesn’t do anything. I can switch it to on with the switch that’s on the lamp itself but it won’t come on with the door ajar switch. Any thoughts? I don’t...
Yeah, someone else has also told me to run E-85 and it might help. I also ran it in 3rd gear down the interstate the entire way there to get it hot and fortunately, there was no line so I went right in. But I will check the air pump and will run E-85. Thanks for the suggestion
I’ve been thinking cats, but didn’t want to throw money at it without knowing for sure. I wanted to check other items first before just putting cats in. Mainly because I’ve been thinking of a powertrain swap and figured why spend the money if it doesn’t actually need it. As far as I can tell...
So the 62 is down again since I didn't pass emissions. Apparently, my Hydrocarbons are well within spec but my carbon monoxide is way high. This is the first time I've failed for this, usually its opposite readings. I've replaced the air filter with a new one, it's had a recent tune-up, I...
